Afraid of failure?

Afraid of Failure? Read the following steps

Steps to Break Down Failure

Have you ever felt like a failure? I totally have. But I am not alone.

There is an epidemic of feelings of failure in any country and failure is so definitive. When you think you failed, there is not much wiggle room to be anything other than “a failure.” A horrible way to see yourself! This becomes a belief ingrained and tainting everything else we do and try. Here are four ways to break it down.

A. Lower Your Expectations

Failure is in relation to something. Usually some standard or expectation that was not met: I am not thin enough, pretty enough, smart enough. Having unreasonable expectations is more detrimental on our health than anything else. It brings in judgment, which compounds every other problem we already have.

When we have a feeling which is appropriate to the situation, and then we judge ourselves, then we worry! the problem becomes so much bigger and harder to recover from. Then, we berate ourselves for not recovering quickly with another layer of judgment. The original feeling is nothing compared to the complex mess and layers of our own judgement and fear.

Do not add them. Allow yourself to feel and do not worry, you can handle it. Be gentle and compassionate with yourself, lower those outrageous expectations! Instead of dwelling, do something. Seek a “Mentor with a Servant’s Heart”

B. Know there is a point to trying

Past feelings of failure attempt to take away our point to trying to feel better or accomplish something. We get convinced that we will fail anyway. We assume trying hard will make us more disappointed when we do actually fail, and so we put less effort in in hopes to protect our heart. With less effort, we may actually not achieve our goal and we can say “See? I always fail. Good thing I did not try.”

The point is “Rarely is anything accomplished without trying” And if we try and don’t succeed, our heart actually feels better, not worse. We build confidence knowing that we did our best. We feel empowered because we can respond to things in life. This is giving in to your fears

C. Notice your accomplishment

Simple. See the good in you instead of the bad. Focus on something else beside that one standard you missed. Have confidence in the efforts you did put forth. Notice other things you received from the process, a good example are  friends you’ve made along the journey and “ what you have  learned”  and how it made you grow. Remember all other accomplishments in your life. be positive

D. Remember it is not over

We sometimes assume we failed too soon. Then we feel devastated and stop trying. If you are still alive, you could not have failed, since it is not over. Yes, your standards and expectation might change, but if you are still kicking, you cannot by definition be a failure. Readjust your expectations and try again ALWAYS -  Never Give up!!!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can……. I can, I can!

Foot note for the winner in you.

Your dreams and desires to win are down to you and no one else… If no one is listening find those that will, live the life you desire with those that have trodden the path before.  Then teach those who sit in your wake.

Be the person you wish to be & leave negative in the slow lane.

When you realise you are a winner and find the next gear be ready for what awaits you.  Perhaps you are ready and now & looking for the opportunity to work for yourself  so you can help those less fortunate, with their own mental attitude, be the teacher & TEACH.

Intuition or Intuitive How do you fit.

To attract attractive people, we must be attractive. To attract powerful people, we must be powerful. To attract committed people, we must be committed. Instead of trying to work on other people, we should work on ourselves. When we become, we can attract. Stan Billue

How intuitive are you?

Stop a moment, without reading any more, and try to answer this question honestly.  Do you have any intuitive ability at all?  Is there even such a thing as intuition?  Answer these questions and then return to this article.

Let me guess.  If you are male, did you answer that intuition is more of a female trait?  Wrong!  Intuition is not gender specific!  That is as incorrect as saying that females can multi-task and males cannot.  You believed that old wives’ tale too?

Did you perhaps say that you do not have the gift of intuition?  Wrong again!  True some people seem to have the gift of being intuitive naturally and others don’t.  But all actually have the gift – it is just more carefully hidden in some than in others.

If you can not figure out your purpose figure out your passionDid you say that you are more of a left brain than a right brain person?  Well that really has nothing to do with intuition and creativity, no matter how often you may read online that it does.  If one side of your brain is more dominant than the other, that has very little to do with whether you are more rational or more intuitive.  Different abilities do tend to be associated with different sides of the brain, but this can vary from person to person, and also if someone suffers damage in one brain hemisphere it has been found they can transfer some of the functions associated with that side to the undamaged side.

Whatever reason you may have given to show why you are not really intuitive is actually totally wrong.  You are intuitive.  All of us are intuitive.

The definition of intuition is the ability to acquire knowledge without the use of reason.  This is a skill we need as a species.  If we had to reason every issue to the Nth degree we could not survive as a species – we would be killed by every major danger that arose before we had decided what to do about it.

Intuition is a very powerful ability when you use it properly.

If you run a business you may already be aware of this.  It is usually the first thought that comes to you that is the right one.  Especially when trying to assess people.  Most of us then spend the next few hours or days trying to justify logically, with the power of reason, what we already knew without any reason at all.  That is the power of intuition in action.

"The first step in the acquisition of wisdom is silence, the second listening, the third memory, the fourth practice, the fifth teaching others." Stan Billue

Have you ever noticed that you just have a feeling that something is not right?  You don’t know why you have that feeling, but it is there deep within and it is very powerful.  When you ignore it, then something seems to go wrong.  Has that ever happened to you?  The next time you get that feeling, just walk away.  The feeling is right.  Something within you has recognized the danger even though there is no apparent logical reason for it.

"Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new end. Stan Billue

Trust me in this.  You DO have the power of intuition.  You CAN use it, and use it very effectively.  But just like a muscle, you need to keep using it to make it more powerful, to take it to the point where you can gain great benefit from it.

Now that you know this, start listening for that inner voice.  Take note of what your intuition is telling you.  Use it to find what you should really be doing, what your true desires are, how you can develop yourself and become a better person.  All that knowledge is already there inside you, ready to come to the surface through the process we call intuition.

If your actions inspire others to dream more

Share Your Wisdom

A'Mera FriemanIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

If every one shared the lessons and knowledge of their lives, we could learn so much from each other, and there would be more empathy and less strife. Here is the wisdom that I’ve gained in my thirty-seven years:

  • The colour of someone’s skin or their financial status shouldn’t define how they’re treated.
  • Someone else’s religious beliefs shouldn’t offend you if your own faith is strong.
  • It’s easy to let drama into your life but it’s harder to get rid of it.
  • Don’t stress out if no one else has faith in you, just have faith in your God and that’s all you need.
  • Never be afraid to remove negative baggage from your life; you’ll find a missing piece of yourself when you do.
  • Always start how you want to finish.
  • Find joy in the journey of your life, because you only get one.
  • Sometimes, you have to love family from a distance to live your life to the fullest.
  • Your self-worth should only be measured by how you see yourself – not how others see you.
  • Take a moment every day to enjoy the blessing of this earth and your loved ones because tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone.
  • If you’re wrong, admit it, so that when you’re right, people will trust what you have to say.
  • Take care of your children and treat them well; after all, they are a reflection of your character.
  • You have to follow before you can lead. Your leadership will reflect how well you followed.
  • Failure is always an option, but what you learn from it to succeed is a choice.
  • The power of patience can conquer obstacles.
  • Be diligent in the pursuit of success and don’t allow negativity to misdirect you along the way.
  • Sometimes a few seeds of hope and faith tossed in the wind will yield a harvest unimaginable.
  • Never look down your nose at anyone. That person may be your blessing in disguise.
  • You have to find confidence in yourself before you can expect anyone else to be confident in you.
  • Motivate others – don’t break them down to build yourself up.
  • Blessings rain down when you have hope, faith, and love.
  • Everything happens for a reason, so don’t ask questions, just go with it.
  • How you react to someone else’s actions is always your choice, so choose wisely.
  • Don’t be discouraged if you don’t reach your goal when you want to because God – or whoever your higher power is – will make sure that you reach it when you need to.
  • Remember if it’s bad when it goes around, it will be ten times worse when it comes around, so treat everyone well.
  • You have to lose the game sometimes so that you can learn how to win.
  • Don’t go looking for your own blessings because you may miss the ones that are already on the way.

hurts and disappointments and transform them into positive energy to share with the world!” – Alayjiah Bargnare
