The Seven Secrets of Leadership

The message is clear but with my added PMA messages and picture.

Leadership lesson 8 stand guard at the door of your mind

7 Secrets I Learnt From The Leadership Pill by Ken Blanchard

1. Leadership is not just what happens when you are there. It’s what happens when you are not there.

This is a very useful distinction and should become an outcome for anyone who wants to lead. Team that functions even if the leader is not around is something unique and requires a different level of skills. The next points will give couple of ideas how to get there. A great leader builds their people. The better your people, the more free time you have.

2. Profit is the applause you get for taking care of your customers and creating a motivating environment for people.

Isn’t it an interesting twist in perception and sequence? There are so many organisations that do exactly opposite. This model helps to remove from constantly focusing on just getting a quick financial gain that looks good in a short term, but on the other hand it can strongly damage the two most important parts of your organisations: your customers and your team.

3. Leadership is not something you do to people, it is something you do with them.

Simple but powerful truth. If you are setting off for a team leading journey, remember to take your team with you. Communicate and involve. Simple but also so often forgotten.

4. The key to effective leadership is the relationship you build with your team.

An extension from the previous points. The relationship you build with your team should be the way how you judge your success as a leader.

5. Sharing the big picture puts everyone on the same page.

Effective communication will always be the key leadership skill while building a team. A clear vision gives the strong sense of direction, or even a sense of excitement and a powerful drive, if properly communicated.

6. You will go a lot further if you stop to refuel.

That is something I must admit I have been guilty of. It is so crucially important to pause, relax and change your perception with different activities, different people. So take time for sport, short trips, dancing, reading watching movies, hiking etc. If you are scoring and winning take time to celebrate, if you are missing your target and not really getting what you want, find time to reflect and get some distance to gain new perspective. Albert Einstein put it nicely: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them”

7. The highest achievement of a leader is winning respect and trust of your team.

Again, I love what Ken Blanchard is doing here. Measure your success of leadership not by financial numbers but trust and respect. These two ingredients will lay a solid foundation that will be a springboard for long lasting financial results.

Hope these 7 nuggets from Ken Blanchard take your leadership skills to the max!
Here’s To Your Success

From The Secret Daily Teachings

Remember to remember means remember to be aware. Remember to be aware in this moment right now. Being aware is seeing everything around you, hearing everything around you, feeling everything around you, and being completely focused on what you are doing right now.
Most people bring what they do not want because they are not aware that they are listening to the thoughts in their heads about the past and the future. They are not even aware that they are being hypnotized by those thoughts, and are therefore living their life unconsciously.
When you remember to be aware, you are aware immediately. You just have to remember to remember!  May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

The Truth about being a Networking Boss

No one is capable of giving direction unless he or she knows how to take directions and carry them out.
An essential quality of leadership is developing the ability to persuade others to align their goals with yours and those of the organization. Until you, yourself, are able to join forces with others in the pursuit of a common objective, you will never persuade them to join your cause. Effective leaders recognize the value of working together, and they learn how to follow directions before being entrusted with the responsibility for the performance of others. Good leaders show by example how they expect others to behave. Even though the troops may be trained to follow orders unquestioningly, the officer always leads them into battle. You cannot push others to follow your example; you must pull them along with you. When you show by your every word and deed that you are a person of character, one who works for the greater good of the entire organization, your people will follow.    Napoleon Hill

You are no one’s Boss and never will be – despite what your title says.

"My new distributor…"    "My team…"    "You’re under me…"
How often do I hear and read these phrases? A lot.  More often than not, they’re used out of naiveté rather than with any intent to make the up line feel superior or the down line feel inferior.  But we’ve got to be constantly aware of what comes out of our mouths.

We’re offering people the chance to break free of the 40-hour (and more!) work week chains of working for someone else, yet using language like this can very quickly make our team members feel like they’ve swapped, or are in the process of swapping, one boss for another.

On that note, we cannot force any of our team members to work harder either – they’re a ‘volunteer army’ and are free to do as little or as much as they want, to fit around their own unique lifestyle, and in line with what THEY want from their business.

The Science of Getting Rich

Remember this, and never take money from anyone without giving more in use value than the money you are receiving. In people’s lives, this is one of the main causes of lack of money, unsuccessful job experiences, and failed businesses. Give more value than the money you are receiving; in your job, in your business, and in every part of your life.              May the joy be with you, The Secret Rhonda Byrne

Now, don’t get me wrong, if someone’s activity is not congruent with the goals they have set themselves, then we need to bring this to their attention and some course-correcting needs doing, but ultimately we have to firstly be GRATEFUL that they’re part of our team, and secondly RESPECT the level they want to work at.

Be the type of person you wan't to meetLeadership in network marketing is a lot more subtle and refinedTeam Work than management is in ‘traditional’ business where the carrot and stick approach can be employed to move people in the direction management wish.  More often than not, it’s the tools we have at our disposal (events and the power of association building belief and enthusiasm which can lead to increased activity) that are far more effective at helping to increase a team members activity level than simply asking or telling them to do it.

A positive mental attitude is an irresistible force that knows no such thing as an immovable body.
Time and again we hear stories about ordinary people who do seemingly impossible things when they find themselves in an emergency situation. They perform herculean feats of strength and endurance, things they never dreamed they were capable of doing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could harness that strength and make it available anytime you need it? You can — if you believe you can. No doubt you can remember a time in your life when you were exceptionally focused on your objective, a time when you achieved more in less time than ever before. Perhaps it was an impending vacation that motivated you to get everything done before you departed, or perhaps it was a “must pass” exam that helped you focus your concentration. The intensity that you developed in those situations is always available to you when you have a Positive Mental Attitude.   Napoleon Hill

The better you are at connecting with people, the better the quality of your life.

Connectivity is a fundamental life skill and yet, up until now little or no training has been available to us. iMA is an exciting new universal language, designed to maximise connectivity i.e. mutual liking, trust, understanding and respect.

Every one in the world speaks one of four iMA dialects, putting her/him on the same wavelength as 25% of the world’s population. The majority of people, many of whom are important to your success, are on a different wavelength than you.

The universal language of iMA is a simple way of observing and understanding the differences in people, then connecting with them on their wavelength. When this happens communication, trust, understanding, co-operation and sales go up, and stress and tension go down.

What colour are you? Answer the iMA Questionnaire to find out now.

Successful Networker–Action – Setting Goals = Achievement

This is a fine world for the person who knows precisely what he or she expects from life and is busy getting it. 4 men going up stairs
We are happiest when we are striving to achieve a goal. When we achieve one goal, it’s a natural human tendency to set another, usually bigger, one. W. Clement Stone calls it inspirational dissatisfaction — the let down one experiences after a goal has been achieved and before the next step toward a new one has been taken. When you begin to experience that nagging feeling, it’s time to get into action! Make sure you have a long-range plan in place so that when one short-term goal has been achieved, there is a natural progression toward the next. – Napoleon Hill

Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude…and in actions. — Harold S. Geneen

“Setting goals is easy.   Achieving goals is difficult.”

The road to success

This is nothing new or different, BUT you will have heard it a thousand times, from your first few days in school to the sports field and the job interview.

The key to success is “SETTING GOALS”  This is from the gurus leaders and experts!  If setting goals is the key, why are we not Successful? reality tells you different otherwise we would all be wealthy.

Reality is: Every year we set goals; for the New Year, to earn or make more money, to exercise, to lose weight, to spend more quality timeWork Life direction sign
with the family
The list is endless But the most famous in networking is to sponsor more people! Of course these are not just your goals they are mine and everyone else’s as well, How many did you achieve that is the question. This I am afraid is the story of our lives, setting them is the easy part.   The problem is that we seldom achieve these goals. Does this sound like you? Like your team, members or even like your  prospects?
.

Good intentions are useless until they are expressed in appropriate action.
Good intentions may be an appropriate starting point for achievement, but they will go nowhere unless you follow through with action. Many people confuse intentions with achievement; after all, it is the idea that is most important, they reason. In reality, the most mediocre idea acted upon is far more valuable than a flash of genius that resides only in your mind. Developing the habit of action may be difficult at first, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes.
Napoleon Hill

Man climbing hill of goalsFailing to achieve our carefully planned goals is just human. We mean well, but we consistently underachieve our goals. Why? I think that we secretly make a list of all of our shortcomings and then set goals to fix them. Unfortunately, there is a reason we have shortcomings in our lives. We have shortcomings because those things we strive to correct are the  same for everyone and we give up, or do not even try to set the records straight…

Goals really are a part of everyday life, without them we would all be failures! Imagine no cars, food clothes the list goes on but you get the meaning.  The same goes for people with their own business IF they did not set goals would they have a business??  Building success

I have to admit there is a difference with this type of goal and that is our own goals do not make a huge difference to anyone except ourselves!! and of course our families.  In any type of job or business you have to admit there is a need.

Network Marketing is the same, why you ask? well if I wanted financial freedom, free time for the family, better holidays; would  you get this from a job?  No Way!  Goals are part of us and our make up do you remember learning to walk, even before you could speak..it was a GOAL.  Now even more so in your own business, to this end we provide training advice support and the right road to get you your goals, but you have to do something to get them, starting with a “Positive Mental Attitude”..

There is no past or future for the law of attraction, only the present, so stop referring to your life in the past as very difficult, or full of hardship and pain, or in any other negative way.

Remember that the law only operates in the present, so when you speak of your past life negatively the law is receiving your words and sending those things back to you NOW.  May the joy be with you, – Rhonda Byrne
