Hi Gray

It was nice chatting with you today.  A brief Club history is attached, which is also on our club website http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/birchwoodcoltsjfc/Home.  We are always looking for sponsorship for playing kits, hoodies, waterproofs and equipment for our teams. The team plays in the Mid Lincs Youth League and in the summer the team also enters various five a side competitions, which will take them            (and their sponsors logo) all over Lincolnshire and into parts of Nottinghamshire. The sponsored sportswear will usually last for between 2 to 3 years. Sponsors will also be promoted on our club website with links to the sponsors own web page.

We are exploring other options for sponsorship including match balls with sponsors logos on for all our teams home games and sponsors banners on the goal nets.

If you know of any companies who might be interested or you need any further information, please feel free to contact me.

Kind Regards    Cliff Penning   C.C. Penning   Club Secretary  Birchwood Colts JFC

Be aware of the big difference between inspired action and activity. Activity comes from the brain-mind and is rooted in disbelief and lack of faith – you are taking action to "make" your desire happen. Inspired action is allowing the law to work through you and to move you. Activity feels hard. Inspired action feels wonderful. May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

The world Owes You Everything and nothing

Follow the Leader

Your thoughts, and their amazing significance and impact on your life, are the only things that you can control absolutely and consistently."                   Dr. Steve G. Jones

"We have the ability to impact and change our vibrations on a personal level to bring about change in our lives and the lives of others." Frank Mangano

Follow the leader

Leadership lesson 8 stand guard at the door of your mindWe all have been told, (at least I have) how important events are to not only get the information, but it is vitally important to associate with the leaders and future leaders that will help propel your business to the next level.

What qualities do we know leaders have that we want to follow to become leaders ourselves? That is a very important question to ask yourself! A leader must be a servant and a debtor. His first responsibility is to define reality and then say thank you.

Even if you don’t see yourself as a leader right now, that is where you want to be in order to create your dreams. First be a leader that leads yourself and your family.

There are only two tools available to the educator. The easy one is fear. Fear is easy to awake, easy to maintain, but ultimately toxic. Other tool is passion.

Greatness is frightening. With it comes responsibility- Seth Godin

Here is a list to start you off:

  • Leaders are great followers as they followed great leaders to become leaders themselves Find the person that you can most learn from even if you are not sure you can fill their shoes. At first you will not be able to, but who do you think you can learn the most from? (Every great leader has someone he has looked up to and learned from)
  • Leaders are plugged in By being plugged in to the events, the calls the community you can always have your finger on what is happening in your business. (attends events both the ones nearby and the ones that require travel)
  • Leaders lead by example Your team is only as good as what you yourself do, even if they cannot always see you. I always thought that was interesting but it was uncanny, if I was off, so was my team, if I was hot so was my team. (he never expects of others what he wouldn’t do himself)
  • Leaders take responsibility We never blame others for things we did or others did. Its still up to us what we do after something happens, blame doesn’t have anything to do with it. (he doesn’t ever waste time playing the blame game)
  • Leaders have integrity This is a word many have not learned but is so key today. Its more than just being honest, its the core of your being. (he knows the trust he builds with others is built on his own character and integrity)
  • Leaders make themselves available This one is really a big one for me. If we do not help and support our team members what do we have. Its not about showing off but showing how. (He sees himself as a leader and helper)
  • Leaders have charisma (confidence and posture) He never hangs his success on anyone certain individual. It is the pure just knowing where you are going which is so powerful!
  • Leaders never quit. (If he fails temporarily he simply looks at it from another angle and keeps on going! Its the ability to get back up and keep going that makes the leaders so attractive to others.

Sure you are going to get new tools and definitely encouragement and new belief. But I believe the most important thing is to pay attention to the pattern that leaders set and follow those patterns.

5 Secrets of Motivated People

The Abundance Project

You’re familiar with the situation: You’ve just finished celebrating a wonderful holiday season, you’ve spent precious time with friends and loved ones, and you’ve laid out your goals for the upcoming year. Everything goes according to plan in January, but once mid-February hits, you lose your focus, you begin slumping back into old habits, and before you know it, all that motivation you had on New Years Day is nothing more than a distant memory.

Truth be told, it’s not difficult to be motivated at the beginning of a new year, but it is a challenge to stay motivated throughout the year. However, there are select individuals that manage to maintain their motivation throughout the year and accomplish amazing feats in their lives. So, at the beginning of a new year (2016), we’ve decided to let you in on 5 secrets that motivated people use to stay on track with their goals through New Years and beyond. Pay close attention if you want to make this year your most successful year yet!

#1: Plan for Bumps in the Road

If you make a plan without anticipating bumps in the road, then you’re just setting yourself up for failure down the road. If you truly want to keep your motivation level high throughout the year, you need to write out a list of “if” “then” statements that can be used when something negative happens in your life. For example, if the weather is poor for a week and you can’t ride your bike outside like you’ve planned, come up with an alternative option using “if” “then” statements. If you do this you’ll still stay on track to your goals and you won’t slip into the danger zone of giving up altogether. If you plan for the road bumps, you’ll be better prepared to overcome them and move forward with your goals.

#2: Use Positive Affirmations and Self-Talk

Research has proven over and over again that people that truly believe they can accomplish their goals are significantly more likely to achieve them compared to those who don’t. One great way to keep your motivation and confidence high is to speak positive affirmations out loud each day. You don’t have to use the same affirmations every day, but they do need to be positive. Speak about your talents, your motivation, and how you will never give up. As you stick to this habit of speaking positive affirmations and engaging in positive self-talk, you will notice that your motivation will stay high as a result.

#3: Be Public About Your Goals

There is nothing wrong with having private goals, but sometimes it helps if you make your goals public. Going public with your goals will make you accountable to others, instead of just to yourself. If you want to lose weight for example, announce on Facebook that you are planning to lose x amount of pounds by the end of the year. Keep people up to date on your progress by creating a blog or posting periodically on social media. Doing this will keep you motivated, because not only will you continually be reminding yourself of your goal, but you also won’t want to disappoint everyone else.

#4: Be Realistic About Your Goals

If you make your goals too ambitious, you are setting yourself up for failure. The key to achieving goals is to make progress. This year you may start out with a few smaller goals, but then you may move on to a loftier goal next year. If you try to do everything at once however, you’ll only make it harder on yourself when you don’t meet your own expectations. The easiest way to avoid that is to be reasonable with your goals. Sit down and evaluate where you are currently at in your life, and what changes you can reasonably expect to make in the next year. Then outline the goals you’d like to achieve years down the road and make a plan to get there. When you make reasonable goals it will help you stay motivated throughout the year.

#5: Have a Support Network in Place

For this one, begin by creating a list of all the people in your life who support you the most. Your list can include friends, family, romantic partners, colleagues, and mentors. Make sure you choose individuals who know how badly you want to achieve your goals, and also who have seen you fail to achieve some goals in the past. If you choose people that have been with you through thick and thin, you will be more likely to stay motivated because they will know what to say to help you get through the tough times.

The abundance project

Each day we have an inner dialogue that plays in our minds. The things we say to ourselves tend to repeat and eventually all those little thoughts make up the way we think about ourselves and our lives. Negative thoughts can even, unknowingly, pigeonhole and restrain us from achieving our goals. We become so accustomed to our own self-talk that we hardly notice the things we say to ourselves. If only we paid a little more attention to what’s going on in our heads, we might have more control over what goes on in our lives.

Observe

Spend one day being conscious of the thoughts that pop into your head. You might be shocked at how harsh and mean you are to yourself! Did you just hear yourself say that you can’t do something because you’re too overweight, lazy, or no one likes you!? We are so incredibly hard on ourselves. The worst part is, tearing ourselves down will never help us achieve the things we hope and dream for. Not to mention, negative self-talk makes any situation a lot worse than it actually is; which causes excess stress and conflict. Listen and be aware of all the negative and cruel things you say in your head; you may even want to write them down.

“It’s me who is my enemy, me who beats me up, me who makes the monsters, me who strips my confidence.” – Paula Cole

Stop in your tracks

Once you’ve spent some time observing your self-talk and you’ve taken notes of all the negative things you tell yourself, the next step is to start thinking differently. Each time you hear yourself say something negative in any way, stop dead in your tracks and think of 5-10 positive reasons why what you just said is not true. Motivate yourself! List all the things you are exceptional at and all the reasons why you absolutely can succeed. The key is to evict all the negative thoughts that have made cosy homes in your mind and replace them with positive and encourage thoughts.

Experiment

If you’re doubting whether your thoughts really have that big of an impact on your life, try an experiment. Start leveraging your thoughts to improve various situations in your life and see how changing your perspective changes the way things pan out. Speaking of experimenting, try out different types of self-talk and see what works best to motivate you each day. Once you figure out the best way to talk to yourself, strive to stay in that state of mind.

Practice

Inevitably, the first couple days, weeks and months will be the hardest. You are, essentially, re-wiring your brain to consider situations and yourself differently. Practice recognizing negative thoughts, dismissing them and continuing to replace them with thoughts that inspire, uplift and make you realize how wonderful and beautiful you are! Our thoughts are truly one of the most powerful tools at our disposal. We can ignore them and allow them to become stale and negative or we can take control and use them to propel ourselves forward in success and happiness.
