Personal development is sometimes referred to as self-development or personal growth, and it traditionally covers a broad set of areas to improve. It is not however something that you gain from formal education, though the process of gathering knowledge is fundamental to growth. Personal development is a path that you take to better your family situation, career, spirituality, emotional health, and every other aspect of your life. It is the investment into improving yourself. Essentially, It is about making conscious decisions about everything that you do, the way that you think, and the way that you react to situations. For some, It is also a matter of moving beyond past failures and misfortune to see what is possible in the future.

Development process

Personal development can help you obtain everything that you always dreamed of, and more, with the simple application of a few simple mind-sets and tools. Our awareness is a direct result from our development. And personally, the need for further growth and development is paramount for your health physically, mentally and emotionally through to all your relationships. For those who need additional help moving past obstacles and making those changes, a counsellor or personal development coach can also be of great worth. One of the most important steps toward development is to set obtainable goals.

Setting Goals

Finding resources to make changes move past obstacles, set goals, and find happiness is not always easy. Search for quotes stories, tips and ideas to fuel your goals. The key is to consciously act toward goals that will cause you to grow. You must then determine which values, goals and principles you will set up to guide your actions. For me I choose to remove all the bad programming that has been installed on my "hard drive" (if you will) and install more productive and positive programming to help me move closer to my goals in life. You can also learn how to set and implement realistic goals, develop an increased level of self-esteem and self-confidence.

Keys to Growth

I’ve found out more about myself by committing myself to personal growth, rather than trying to find myself first and then start developing. I also found that my personal growth plan is a useful tool that keeps me focused. Develop your personal growth plan, make it a visual poster and hang it up where you can see it daily. Success in an undertaking leads one to gaining more pursuit and a much greater yearning to learn, resulting in growth of motivation directing towards the goal that you have set.

Self Development is a journey not a destination.

It is about living your life while making conscious decisions on a daily basis about everything you do. Make no mistake about it; personal development is a lifelong pursuit. How to Recharge Your Motivation

Sometimes, when you have so many items on your to-do list, getting anything important accomplished becomes daunting. All the menial tasks start to take up the majority of your time and, before you know it, the important things fall by the wayside. Finding the motivation to continue pursuing the things that really matter to you is not something you can just do once. Staying motivated requires taking the time to occasionally re-focus your thoughts and priorities, outline your goals, and do things that help you feel inspired and creative! The practice of recharging your motivation will help you follow through on your goals and make real progress in your life.

Re-examine your focus

Take a minute to reflect on how you currently spend your time. Sometimes, without realizing it, we can get stuck spending too much time on things that aren’t the most important to us. What are your main priorities and goals in life? I have four main commitments in my life that stem from different categories. Each day I try to spend time with my family, working, exercising, and being spiritual. Too frequently, I notice that one area has started to slip and I again need to revisit how I spend my time and allocate more or less time to certain areas.

Get inspired

When you have a big goal that might take some time to accomplish, it’s important to continue to inspire yourself. Spend time in environments that help you feel creative and motivated! Whether you feel inspired walking around the city, getting lost in the library, spending a day at the beach or in the mountains, or even just

talking with people who have accomplished what you’re striving for, make sure you spend time inspiring and motivating yourself to continue pursuing your goals.

Create an end goal

If you’ve noticed that you’ve been less motivated to achieve one of your goals or stick to a priority in your life, figure out what motivates you in that area. For some people, they need to have an “end” in their mind, something to work towards. For example, if you’re a runner, but you can’t find the motivation to hit the trail, you might consider signing up for a race in 3-6 months. With the end goal of the race, you’ll be more motivated to get up and run each day. Whatever your goal is, find something that motivates you to continue working toward it.

Examine your progress

When you’re working toward a goal, a great motivator can be to examine how far you’ve already come. If your goal is to be fluent in Spanish, reflect on how much you’ve learned so far. Maybe now you can have a small conversation in Spanish and understand even more. Take notes of your progress and track how much you’ve improved. The ability to track your progress will help you see that all your hard work is paying off and inspire you to continue.

Take a look at your life and be grateful

Over the course of my – your and anyone’s  lifetime there will have been many dark moments – moments of trauma, drama, tragedy and un-clarity. In the depths of the dark night of the soul experiences that sometimes can seem to last for several years; One can find themselves, again and again on ones knees in some way reaching out for support, guidance and a way home to peace and harmony.  Does this sound like you or anyone you know?

In my own personal life I have been advised to stay focused on the journey, admittedly I give myself these thoughts and A year from now you would wish you had started todaycomments as a youngster many years ago it was rare for anyone to be positive!! (how times change), as a child I was the oldest of 6 boys, anything they did wrong it was my fault…that’s that on the subject!!   It is more about the journey and not the destination. I have been “Self encouraging” to focus on what’s good in the moment, difficult or not the truth is that there are moments where it’s a mighty task to focus on the good!  I am not alone here am I?   I can and will feel better as many people are worse off than myself.

A positive mental attitude is an irresistible force that knows no such thing as an immovable body.
Time and again we hear stories about ordinary people who do seemingly impossible things when they find themselves in an emergency situation. They perform Herculean feats of strength and endurance, things they never dreamed they were capable of doing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could harness that strength and make it available anytime you need it? You can — if you believe you can. No doubt you can remember a time in your life when you were exceptionally focused on your objective, a time when you achieved more in less time than ever before. Perhaps it was an impending vacation that motivated you to get everything done before you departed, or perhaps it was a “must pass” exam that helped you focus your concentration. The intensity that you developed in those situations is always available to you when you have a Positive Mental Attitude. – Napoleon Hill

I have read a lot of “Positive Mental Attitude” books through my busy life giving me the guidance needed to invoke the vision, strength or dreams of where I am going and what I want to be or do! Focus on your attention and intentions on what you are creating and continue to work towards that goal with the understanding that whatever is happening in the moment; it is going to be a wonderful fantastic positive feeling for the manifestation of that ultimate destiny.

Giving opens up the door to receiving. You have so many opportunities to give every day.                                                         Give kind words. Give a smile. Give appreciation and love. Give compliments. You can give courtesy to other motorists while you are driving. You can give a smile to the car parking attendant. You can give a warm greeting to the newspaper stand person or the person who makes your coffee. You can give by allowing a stranger to go ahead of you into an elevator, and you can give by asking which floor they are going to and pressing the button for them. If someone drops something you can give a helping hand and pick it up for them. You can give warm embraces to those you love. And you can give appreciation and encouragement to everyone. I want to encourage you instead to focus on “BOTH” the Journey “and” the Destiny.  The Journey for anyone not just me is the place where we are receiving in the present moment all the information, guidance, gifts, blessings, experiences, lessons, and moments that make up the book of our life.

The Destiny of course is the end game – the life “well Lived”  Faith is what makes life bearable with all its tragediesthe dreams manifested, the visions achieved. A life well lived is one where you have surrendered to being made love to by life itself – those tender moments of pleasure, those sharp piercing moments of pain, culminating in a climactic orgasmic experience that brings us to a state of pure bliss and unification with the Divine.

Remember to breathe in the beauty, invoke your vision in those moments when it seems all is lost – that dream destination provides the motivation to keep moving forward through the darkest of days.   “SMILE

Remember to harvest the golden nuggets of wisdom and truth from those challenging experiences on the journey.    

Remember to see each day at least one thing you can be grateful for – even if it’s just that you are breathing.

Remember to create time and space for yourself to disengage, Carry out a random act of kindness with no expectation of rewardnotice and allow whatever is to be as it is and to examine what it is that YOU really want and how you want to spend your life force.   Always Always be thankful and grateful no matter what as you have no idea how the person is walking past you at the time.

Remember to look for the angels who will come along your path at the most unusual of moments to support, love and assist you when you least expect it and acknowledge and recognize their loving ministrations with gratitude.

Connecting with people is an incredible skill as you connect first in their world because that is where they live their lives and where their interests and values lie

Remember to share your gifts with others and be an angel for those who are not quite as far along on the journey as you are. I feel this is more important than myself, one can gain everything by helping others achieve their aims goals or targets no matter who what or when!!  

You never know when one kind act can change a person for everRemember to love life and let life make love to you – it’s an orgasmic experience if only you will truly surrender to it!  Loving life will be seen by others it is a gift to involuntarily passing on those feelings unknowingly..  it is also called “The power to change another persons life”

Positive and Negative Thoughts

If you repeat something over and over to yourself, your subconscious mind will eventually begin to accept it as fact. When something has been accepted as truth by your subconscious mind, it will work overtime to transform the idea into physical reality. You can take advantage of this by programming your mind to think positive thoughts. Use self-motivators or affirmations to persuade your subconscious that you are capable of doing anything you wish. Repeat the self-motivator several times a day until it becomes an automatic reaction to recall a positive phrase whenever you begin to doubt yourself. Replace “I can’t” with “I will!”

Positive & Negative thoughts:
Your thoughts are both the words you hear in your head and the words you speak out loud. When you say to somebody, “What a beautiful day” you had the thought first and then spoke the words. Your thoughts also become your actions.
When you get out of bed in the morning, you had the thought of getting out of bed before you took action. You can’t take any action without thinking the thought first. It’s your thoughts that determine whether your words and actions will be positive or negative. But how do you know your thoughts are positive or negative? Your thoughts are positive when you think of what you want and love! And negative thoughts are what you don’t want and don’t love. It is that simple and that easy. There is no other way to take this but it is true!!
What ever you want in your life, you want it because you love it. Now take a moment and think about it. You do not want things you do not love, or do you? Every person only want’s what they love; no body want what they done love.
When you think or talk about things you want and love, like “I love those shoes” they are just what I want, your thoughts are positive and they will come back to you as the things you love-beautiful shoes!! hen you think and talk about the things you do not want or love, like “look at the price of those shoes, that is high way robbery” Your thoughts are now negative and negative thoughts will come back to you that you do not love them as they are too expensive!!
Most people think and talk about the things they do not love more than they think and talk about what they love, why? Because they give out more negative thoughts than love thus depriving themselves of all the good things in life! it is that simple.
It is impossible to have a great life without love. Because People who have great lives think and talk about what they love more than what they do not love! People who are struggling think and talk about what they do not love more than what they do love, even a pair of shoes!

There is no doubt that when using the law of attraction for the good of everyone, you are connecting yourself to great power. However, the law is also available to you individually so that you may live your life to the fullest.
