Networking and Internet Life style by Mike Sherratt

The networked revolution is creating huge profits, significant opportunities, and a lot of change. What it’s not doing is providing millions of brain-dead, corner office; follow the manual middle class jobs. And it’s not going to. Seth Godin

An Internet Lifestyle means that you are able to live life on your terms. Simple as that.                                                  If you are reading this it means that you’ve looked at your life (and the current business you run), and you’re not even close to financial security – let alone freedom – and you keep asking yourself: “Isn’t there a way to change my life?”                 Don’t be perturbed – there is a way out of every ugly situation IF you know a certain few things.

Earning six figures annually online is not unrealistic – it’s actually doable and entirely attainable.  Thus, I want to give a wake-up call to your inner entrepreneur to rise above the fray and begin to create the future you really want.

The greatest enemy of man is himself. If you could break loose from your inner thoughts that tell you success is far off, then there is no mountain anywhere you cannot climb. In fact, most of the things you’ve been taught about money are false.

What do I mean?                                                              The cliché that you should go to school, study and get a good job afterwards (along with a  bag of benefits) is a limiting factor. We’re living in the information age, where a single idea can settle a man or woman financially for the rest of their lives. Academic qualification has its place in this world, but not necessarily in the areas of making money and touching lives around the world.

I think the real education is outside of academic institutions. The real education you need is right where you are – in your environment: the people, events, news, technology,  communication, business start-ups, etc. You can learn so much more from the above mentioned channels than in the four walls of a  university.

4 Tips to creating an Internet Lifestyle and saving you a ton of frustration!

1. All frustration is the result of the lack of a system: Finding a proven business system is the most lucrative step you can take towards making a dream come true. When properly approached, it’s going to make your success “sure-fire.”. Those who live the Internet lifestyle today have specific, high-powered systems, not mere business enterprises.

2. Find an Already Successful “Real World” Mentor: Find someone who is already achieving the results that you want in a specific business and see if he or she would be willing to mentor you a few hours a month. If you could do this on your own you would have already done it. Trust me, you need a mentor.

3. Stop Hanging Out With Turkeys: Take a look around you and you will notice that your income is likely that of your ten closest friends and influences. It’s time to stop hanging out with the turkeys if you want to soar with the eagles. You will never outperform your self image and if you don’t believe in your heart that you are worth six-figures, you will never command it into being.

4. Persist Beyond Exception: A system is what guarantees financial freedom. A system stays even when the business is gone. Don’t make the mistake of chasing silver bullets or “get rich quick” solutions. Stick with your plan and perfect your system. You will always come out ahead.Over the next few days we will dive into each of these individually.

“Personal Development” part Two of two

From The Secret Daily Teachings

No person or power in the outside world can compare to the power you have within you. Seek the power within, as it knows the perfect way for you. May the joy be with you. Rhonda Byrne

Confidence allows you to open doors_thumb[1]Personal development has been in existence since the time of the Greek philosopher Aristotle who lived from 384 BC – 322 BC. Personal development is believed to first be discussed in his work called the Nicomachean Ethics. In this work he talks about the use of practical wisdom in order to create happiness. He maintained that it was every human’s right to flourish or live well and that the way to accomplish this was through practicing certain virtues. This idea that a life well lived is one that is based on values and has informed the practices of counselling and life coaching to this day.

Yet another influence on personal development was the Chinese book written by Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC) which talked about how everything in life begins with virtuous thoughts that then transfer their goodness to the heart, the family, the state and the kingdom.

For hundreds of years the question “What is Personal Development?” was left up to religion. The basic tenets of how to behave were outlined as commandments, psalms and catechisms in Bibles from different faiths. The original life coaches were actually priests, rabbis and other religious figures that instructed the ordinary person on how to live a virtuous and prosperous life.

From 1870 onwards the science of psychology defined the practice of personal development as an activity completely separate from religion. Turn-of-the-century psychologists such as Alfred Adler, Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung introduced concepts such as “life-style”, “self-image” and “the process of individuation” into the realm of personal development. Whereas formerly one’s entire life might be devoted solely to work or solely to the devotion of a monarch, it was now devoted to achieving one’s personal aspirations. Achieving a balance of these desires was what would potentiate an individual’s happiness.

1n 1998 the President of the American Psychological Association, Martin Seligman proposed that there be a set of human traits defined, such as courage, optimism, hope, honesty and perseverance that could act as a prevention for mental illness.

Nowadays the answer to the question, “What is personal self-development?” is more complex. Personal self development comes in all kinds of different guises including a program in self-efficacy developed by Albert Bandura in 1925. The tenets of this program defined the goals of personal self development to be 1) an expectation of success, 2) the ability to set challenging goals, 3) to eliminate fears and self-sabotaging behaviours and 4) the ability to master failure and continue until you do succeed. These four tenets have continued to be the four pillars in the foundation of such modern self-improvement practices as cognitive therapy, life-coaching and neuro-linguistic programming.                                                           To Your Prosperity,                                                                                                 Mike Sherratt                                                                                                              “I’m not afraid… I was BORN for this!”
