From The Secret Daily Teachings

It is so important that you are grateful for everything in your life. Many people focus on the one thing they want and then forget to be grateful for all the things they have. Without gratitude you cannot achieve anything through the law of attraction, because if you are not emanating gratitude from your being, then by default you are emanating ungratefulness. Be proactive and use the frequency of your being to receive what you want.   May the joy be with you,                          Rhonda Byrne   The Secret… bringing joy to billions

How To Let Your Brilliant Being Shine

I recently came across one of my favorite poems, My Brilliant Image, by the fourteenth century Persian Poet, Hafiz:

Mary O'MalleyOne day the sun admitted,
I am just a shadow.
I wish I could show you
The Infinite Incandescence
That has cast my brilliant image!
I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in darkness,
The astonishing Light
Of your own Being!

Hafiz is telling us that the astonishing light, the brilliance of our own being, is already with us.  We are filled with great light that permeates everything.    Brian Swimme, Evolutionary Philosopher and Co-Collaborator of the documentary film, Journey of the Universe, calls it “allurement”.  What we are talking about here is love.  Allurement and love mean the same thing.  It is allurement that brings the particles and atoms together.  It is allurement that brings atoms into communities called molecules.  And it is allurement that is bringing us into the awareness of our truth, the astonishing light of our own being.  This is exactly what Eben Alexander, author of Proof of Heaven, and Anita Moorjani, author of Dying to Be Me, experienced while lying in a hospital room in a coma.  They both discovered that “heaven” is a state, not a place.  This astonishing light or “state of heaven” is everything…it is the earth, the plants, the air, the wind, the trees, the animals, all of that, and it is also YOU!   Yet, most of us don’t realize it.  Like Sleeping Beauty, we pricked our finger on the spindle of the mental world and we have gone to sleep.

I use the meadow metaphor in my book, What’s In the Way IS the Way, to illustrate the beauty of our being.  It includes flow, spaciousness, light, love and stillness, and it has always been with us.  But, we haven’t noticed these qualities of the meadow in ourselves because we have so often been engulfed in struggle.  When we are in a dark place, facing any challenging situation in our lives, most of us are caught in our minds and we don’t see the beautiful meadow.  We only see the cloud bank around our heads.  But, as we begin to bring awareness to the struggling self, we begin to realize that the meadow has always been there.

Even if we only see these glimpses of the struggling self for a brief moment, this is a moment of consciousness.  I like to call this moment of consciousness “Look to Unhook”.   Rather than identifying with the feelings, one way to unhook from them is to say “I am sensing in me something that feels lonely” rather than “I feel lonely” or “I am sensing in me something that is terrified” rather than “I am terrified”.  When we are identified with the feelings that fear brings up inside of us, we feel cut off from life.  When we can say to ourselves “I See You”, we are relating to the loneliness or darkness, rather than from it.  By doing this, we begin to create a relationship with that young part of us that was conditioned into a world of fear.  Eventually we can learn to be with our feelings for longer periods of time, but it is a process.  The first step is recognizing what is going on inside of us and then realizing that our states of mind are just stories in our heads.   Then, we can begin to see the light and love that we are as we learn to bring spaciousness to these dark, lonely, fearful states of mind.  And, like Sleeping Beauty who was kissed by the Prince, we can begin to wake up.  The Prince called Life is waking us up.

How To Live Your Inner Light

“I believe people are not looking for the meaning of life, but rather are looking for meaning in their life.”  – Pilar Stella

Keidi KeatingIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

Live in the Light. This means surrendering completely to the Universe, God, the Divine, or whatever you call that unseen, yet powerful force: the Creator.

Now, it’s easier said than done to live in the Light every day, however there are some ways I’ve found that make it far easier:

TRUST. Trust yourself and the Creator. He only wants what is best for you and so long as you remember that, trusting should be easy. Jog your memory that He lives through you as you, so obviously the only very best life experiences will come your way.

KNOW. Tap into that inner source of knowing which we all possess. It’s difficult to describe where this knowing comes from, as it just is. Often it is wrapped up in the emotions, feelings, worries, anxieties and materialistic elements of this world, which form a kind of shell. Peel away the shell and that true knowing will be felt.

LOVE. Love every day. Love the new people you meet. Love the motorist who pulls in front of you on the highway. Love those who challenge you. Love your friends, your relatives, your partner and your animals. Send Love to people you don’t know in the street, to the checkout person in the supermarket, and even to trees, objects, and food. When you feel Love everyday and share it, the Light will reward you.

MEDITATE. Take time out each day to reflect, unwind, close your eyes, breathe slowly and deeply, and find the peace within. When you meditate, you will attract people and experiences into your life which resonate with you and your vision. The Universe also has a say in this, of course. So what you think your vision is, may not prove to be what it actually is!

EXPAND. Think expansive thoughts rather than restrictive ones. Always see yourself progressing and growing in life. Imagine yourself already bigger and more successful than you already are. And remember, success looks different for everyone and it doesn’t always mean more money or more clients. It could simply mean peace of mind, freedom, and joy.

RELAX. Rather than fret about your future, exhale and enjoy the Now. Now is the only time we ever really have so fully immerse yourself in any task you do throughout each day, even if it is simply people-watching or feeling the sun on your skin as you sit outside.

LET GO. Refrain from planning or seeking any particular outcome to whatever is in your awareness. Let that feeling go and then the tension is not present, hence allowing more positive surprises to flow into your life and your world.

Following this advice will allow the Universe to work its magic in your life and lead you onto the path to achieve your wildest, deepest, truest dreams, which reflect the real you; your Soul.

What I find amazing is that when you go out of your way to give to another person, you will also receive great things in your life. This is what is called the Law of Giving and Receiving. You may not receive from the people you are helping, but  you will receive good things from other people and in other ways." Sonia Ricotti

You are The Journey

“Ask the simple question ‘How good can it get?’ each and every day.”  – Cynthia Larson

Simran SinghIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…       What if we have had it all wrong?

What if you are not on a journey and have never been?

What if there is no end destination?

What if one tiny shift in perception and attitude could lead to full radiance, illumination and brilliance? Here it is…

You are not on a journey… YOU ARE THE JOURNEY.

Have you bought into an idea that you are here to reach something, set goals, live out an agenda and attain status? Do you create intentions and repeat affirmations? Are you running forward, trying to escape the things that are behind you, aspiring to shine forth the best self?

You already do. You see… the ember sits in the dark. Light cannot be seen in Light. It must begin in the dark, a molten beginning that grows, radiating outward to fill the space of all it has yet to know. We are the expanse of all that happens to us and through us, within us and out of us… because of us, and beyond what we know ourselves to be.

You are not a human being; this is a spacesuit that you wear. It has whistles and whirs, organs and sensory mechanisms, to lead and guide you as conversations. You are not a spiritual being having a human experience. If that were true, then we remain just as separate when we pass over. That does not make sense, does it?

So, what is beyond separation? Where does everything unite? It would be Oneness… an energetic space of Love, Radiance, Power, Illumination, Brilliance… What would that Oneness mass-desire, by expressing as individuations of form? The answer… ‘Experience’ experience itself.

You are Light, Sound and Colour embodied as a being. Why? You are ‘experience’ experiencing itself. This would mean there is no right/wrong, good/bad, perfection or imperfection… all is simply experience.

In that place of seeing, hearing, feeling, touching and tasting the experience called life, how can any of it be a mistake? We cannot possibly make a wrong turn. Throughout the entire story of your life, you have been experiencing the self and the SELF.

Each one of us is a seed of beginning, a lotus bulb in the murky depths of the dark. We each have pushed upward through the muck and mire, through the dark and toward the sunlight. We each, in our own time, burst into the warmth of the sun. And, we each have the chance to rest upon the calm waters, in the full blossoming of a lotus that has discovered another way of being… another experiencing.

Allow each breath to be in deep reverence, inhaling every experience that you are, holding the breath of every experience you have been, exhaling the experience you choose in each moment and holding the space for all experiences to come. You are Light… you have always been. Be enlightened that it has all been for your Divine experience of the Light that you are.
