Attitude … is the “The Power of One Person YOU"

Getting the best from yourself and others all starts with one: one thought … one word … one action.
Man horse shoe feeling good“One” is the first note in orchestrating the personal attitude that shapes and directs your life – and impacts the members of your team. Contrary to the lyrics from a classic rock song, one is not the loneliest number. It’s the most important one!
Your thoughts, words, and actions are like individual notes that work in concert to create the power of one person – YOU – to make a difference. You can harness your “power of one” if you simply:

  • Catch one negative thought and turn it into a positive one;
  • Think of one thing for which you are grateful at the beginning of each day;
  • Say one “Fantastic!” when a friend or team member asks how you are doing;
  • Assume the best in an upcoming situation;
  • Keep on moving one more time when you experience adversity;
  • Help one friend or colleague in a time of need – and take pride in it.  Do not expect something in return.

Many people used to feel that one vote in an election couldn’t really make a difference. Recent political elections that have been decided by razor thin margins have proven them wrong.

A single act can make a difference … it can create a ripple effect Winnerfelt many miles and people away. So, ask yourself: What’s one thing I can do today that will make a positive difference in my attitude? Then DO IT!
Repeat that process every day and your life will improve – and so will the lives of the people you lead. Attitudes are truly powerful … and they’re contagious!  For all the right reasons..

Companion

I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me, and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
I am easily managed – you must merely be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done, and after enough lessons, I will do it automatically.
I am the servant of all great people and, alas, of all failures.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a machine and the intelligence of a person.
You may run me for profit or run me for ruin – it makes no difference to me.
Take me, train me, and be firm with me, and I will place the world at your feet.
Be easy with me and I will destroy you.
Who am I?
I am habit!

From The Secret Daily Teachings

The process of creation is the same for all things, whether you want to bring something to you or remove something negative from your life.

If you have a habit you wish to break, or anything negative you wish to remove from your life, you must focus on what you want. That means you visualize and imagine yourself in that negative-free state right now. Imagine yourself in as many scenes as you possibly can where the negative situation is completely absent. Imagine yourself happy and free. Eliminate any picture from your mind of you with the negative situation. Just imagine yourself in the state you want to be in, and feel that you are that, right now.

May the joy be with you – Rhonda Byrne

Belief
There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not mere hope or wish. Open-mindedness is essential for belief. Closed minds do not inspire faith, courage, and belief. Napoleon Hill

“Personal Development” part one of two

Dependability is the first foundation stone of good character.
People of character do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, and according to agreed-upon conditions. They are the leaders, the individuals to whom others turn for guidance, because they have demonstrated that they care, that they can be trusted. If you respect yourself enough to keep commitments even when it’s inconvenient to do so, others will come to respect you too. Dependability, like any other character trait, is a habit. Begin today to develop the dependability habit. If you procrastinate or find it difficult to meet your commitments, start small. Promise yourself that you will be on time, for example, and manage your time so that you are. Soon you will find that it’s easier to keep other commitments as well.                    – Napoleon Hill

There has been a lot of research over many years from many famous and non famous people in the world of “Development” to assist you in understanding how to attain true health, wealth and happiness.

Be the type of person you wan't to meet_thumb[3]When first introduced to the world of personal development, I was one of those people that said “yeah right”. I fought the idea, but my reason for looking in the first place was more compelling than the reason (lack of belief in doing it) not to do it. Working on understanding how you tick is not a fun thing to do at first, because you can tend to focus on all the things that are wrong with you. You have to be willing to accept the fact that you are not perfect and could improve in a number of places. The good news is you also have just as great an opportunity to focus on the good that you have in you too.

Good personal development, that is personal development that allows you to develop personally over time, will take you on a tour of your mind, usually over about 90 days. Part of the trick is to stay with it, after all, you went to school to learn how to learn for 12 years, you may have gone to college to learn specialty skills for 2-5 years or more. The point is you will not understand yourself over night, it will take 90 days just to break into your mind and learn how to operate it and a lifetime to master it.

Have you ever taken the time to assess your good and bad points, understood the background to some of your “bad habits”, thought that you are supposed to be wealthy? If not, why not?

Everything we do is based on “beliefs”, beliefs are things that we develop over time, some of them are based on fact, some are based on fiction, while others are based on someone else’s beliefs. For example, we know that if you touch a stove-top element when it is hot, you will get burned. Maybe you learned this yourself and experienced the pain or you learned this from someone else that told you. Another example could be that you believe you will never be wealthy because either someone told you, or you have experienced it that way so far and have just given up. Shame on you!

Bill Gates, one man, has made over 50 Billion dollars and he is not the only one; he did it from nothing more than an idea. If he believed it when people told him that he could never be a Billionaire, he never would have become one. Bill Gates is a Billionaire because he is a student of personal development; he has learned how to set goals, visualize them and attain them by understanding how his mind works.

Freedom is a belief that most of us do not really understand, one would initially think that freedom would not have any limits or costs. Well, wake-up, if you live like most go and go to a job every day, you are only as free as the distance you can go away from your job so you can be back on time tomorrow.

Now, living Beyond Freedom is a lifestyle that most of us do not believe is possible. Here is the think, there is a life out there that you deserve to have, it can be found in yourself, you just need to know where it is hiding. Living Beyond Freedom will bring you into a whole new world, a world where you can attain true health, wealth and happiness.

So, go find some books, programs, etc. and begin to create the life you know you deserve. If you need some help finding the right ones, contact me and I will get you to the place that I know is best

Little value comes out of the belief that people will respond progressively better by treating them progressively worse. — Eric Harvey

To live without fear Ten Steps

“If you want to conquer fear, don’t sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”—Dale Carnegie

Practice these 10 steps everyday and you will live free from fear.

1. See the good in your life, stay focused on this. Write down what you appreciate about your day every night before bed. This will build your skills in seeing what you are grateful for and you will more readily see it during the following days. Keep this up until you feel a robust sense of your life and feel there is more to be grateful for than to be scared of.

2. Trust that you have the skills to can get through hard or difficult times. Fearing bad things happening and feeling that you will not survive them is a mark of anxiety. We have all gotten through hard times in the past. We now have greater skills to do it easier the next time. Take stock in your skills. Remember hard time are also opportunities to connect and hold onto what is truly important to us.

3. Don’t be afraid of the anxiety. Anxiety needs you to be afraid of it to have any power over you. As anxiety feels uncomfortable, we often do fear it. If we were to say. “Oh it is only anxiety, it will pass.” We would take the wind out of its sails and it wouldn’t come or be much less than if we were afraid.

4. Do something that makes you feel better. Recognize that you are taking action to help yourself instead of being a passive recipient to the anxiety. This will give you a sense of being in control than out of control.

5. Round compasss directionGet in touch with your 5 senses to help you stay in the present moment

For example: Look at the woven pattern in a piece of cloth. Focus closely on the breath going in and out of your nose. Listen to some music. Anxiety is worry about the future, and we could feel it so much we miss the present. Don’t miss you life being anxious. Stay in the here and now.

6. Remind yourself that anxiety is temporary. Panic attacks last for a short time. Most people know how long they last. Remember that you will get through it within the time frame you set in your mind.  This might help you be less scared and then allow you to pass through it faster.

7. Breathe.    image          Use a focused breath. Bring the breath low into your belly. Count or pattern the breath to help increase your focus. But do it with your e3yes closed to remove all life’s interferences.

8. Connect with someone or something.

helping handAnxiety breeds in isolation. Connecting with a family member, a friend, or a pet, can help you feel less alone and often brings us out of the panic. Have a sense that you are not alone in life and you will be less scared of it.

9. Remember anxiety cannot hurt, it just feels like it is. Anxiety might feel like a heart attack or that you will stop breathing, but it is just an experience of these things. Fear that you are dying increases the anxiety. Remember this is only ‘anxiety’ and it cannot hurt you.

10. Stop!!Judge scales hammer etec in colour

Judging yourself.  Anxiety often has us blaming ourselves for everything. This makes you feel lousy and increases anxiety. Let the judgments go, have compassion for yourself. See the good in yourself.

What other ways do you know or have experienced to live free from fear?

Most illness begins with a negative mind.
It’s been proven again and again. Hypochondriacs, people who are convinced that they are sick even though nothing is wrong with them, experience the exact symptoms of the actual illness. For them, the illness is just as real as if their bodies were ravaged by disease. It is also possible to make yourself ill through constant worry and fear of failure, because the mind constantly strives to turn into reality the things we think about most. Protect your mental health with the same care you give your physical body. Just as your body requires healthy, nourishing foods, and a balanced diet, so does your mind. Make sure you feed it plenty of positive thoughts.
