Dear Genius,

How did Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Jesus survive weeks without food?

How did Leonardo da Vinci make advances in anatomy, astronomy, and physics that were centuries ahead of scientific discovery—and still find time to paint the most iconic picture in history?

What did people like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Edison, and Albert Einstein do to help them pioneer remarkable breakthroughs and accomplishments?

They all used unique meditation techniques and mental exercises.

And these days, Oprah Winfrey, Sting, the Dalai Lama, Gwyneth Paltrow, and other accomplished individuals from every background and field of endeavor do it too.

Meditation is the doorway to innovative thinking, knowing, being healthy, finding calm inner strength, and… quite frankly… living happily, productively, and abundantly in this world.

And—contrary to what you may think—you can do it almost anywhere… even when you’re driving!

You’ve probably heard this before…

Every answer you seek is already inside your mind.

If that is true (and, based on the amazing benefits listed above, I believe it is), how do you get to those answers and insights when you need them?

If the genuine solutions and guidance you need are already in your mind, why are they sometimes so darn difficult to find?

On the other hand…

As hard as it can be to access this genuine information, every now and then the knowledge and insights just come to you like magic.

Why doesn’t that happen more often? Or, more importantly, how can you make it happen at your command?

The reason you get stuck has little to do with what’s in your mind.

The problem is with what’s not in your mind.

What your brain does normally

The electrical activity of the brain is measured in terms of “waves.” That means if you hook your head up to a machine that measures the electrical output of your brain, you’ll see it form a wave on the screen.

Your brain produces five basic types of waves. They’re called Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. While this sounds like a college fraternity, it’s really a measure of how fast or slow your brain is working at any given time.

Now here’s where what’s not in your brain comes in…

During most of the day when you’re working, texting, emailing, driving, or doing anything active, your brain waves are primarily in a Beta pattern.

But, if you want to find a creative solution to a problem or receive insights or breakthrough ideas on a challenge you’re facing, your brain needs to slow down to a Theta, Alpha, or Theta-Alpha pattern. These types of patterns occur when you’re drowsy, relaxed, and reflective (but not sleepy), or in a state in which a silent current of thoughts, images, and memories emerge spontaneously in your mind.

The problem is, with updates and news coming at you by the minute, and distractions and temptations just a keystroke away, it can be very difficult to achieve these slower brainwave patterns during the course of a normal day.

The result? You often feel overwhelmed and off-balance.

The doorway to breakthrough thinking

How can you slow down your brain waves even when you’re surrounded by chaos and stimulation?

By doing what Jesus, Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, and many other brilliant individuals have done:

Develop your mental focus.

Mental focus enables you to shut out the noise that almost always surrounds you and to get calm in the center of the storm. It is the single best tool you have for releasing the power of your mind and allowing the answers, breakthroughs, and insights you seek to be heard.

The best way to develop laser-sharp focus is to meditate. Meditation—in all its various forms—is supported by decades of scientific research and backed up by centuries of real-life experiences. It is proven to help you let go of all the content that generally occupies your consciousness by slowing down your brain waves. With your mind clear, you can access the knowledge that’s locked inside.

The fastest way to access the miraculous haven
inside your mind

At Nightingale-Conant, it has been our pleasure to work with some of the most incredible minds of our generation. After a while, we started to notice a common thread between many of our most successful authors…

The most successful, happy, and well-balanced people all have the power to focus their minds. By developing a focused mind, these individuals have been able to rise to incredible levels of achievement in just about every field.

But, slowing down your brain waves to have a focused mind can be challenging—even for the experts! That’s especially true with the stresses and constant stimulation of modern life. Now, more than ever, you need to develop ways to gain instant access to the calm, all-knowing haven that’s inside your mind.

And that’s why we’re so excited to introduce a brand-new comprehensive program called Focused Mind, Powerful Mind: Releasing Your Mind’s Greater Powers with Advanced Meditation Techniques.

It’s an advanced mind-training program that combines meditation and mental exercises in a whole new way so you can develop laser-sharp focus like some of the greatest thinkers of all time and perform as never before…

From The Secret Daily Teachings

Most people only think to ask for health when they don’t have it, but you can intend great health at any time. Use the power of your intention every single day and see yourself healthy and well. Intend health for you and intend health for others. – Rhonda Byrne

You create your future with the power of your intention. Intention is simply the conscious act of determining your future now. Health, harmony in relationships, happiness, money, creativity, and love will come to you in the future, based on your intentions now. Intend every day and create your future life.                                                   The best doctor gives the least medicine.

Our bodies are our gardens – our wills are our gardeners.”  ~William Shakespeare

I offer you the following information free and with honesty and truth.  Over the last 30 years due to military ailments (that’s all I will say) I have had the pleasure of alternative Sean Barks Clinic snipped copymedicine to help and speed recovery from military & civilian life.                                                              My first experience a long time ago (avoiding prescription drugs as much as possible) was the opportunity to try Acupuncture, which I knew about due to my martial arts expertise and training. May years ago I signed a petition to help the knowledge of alternative medicine grow, but as usual we all know about the medical profession, they prefer drugs it makes them money, no disrespect as many do work.

Why is it that for 1000;s of years the world has used natural product’s to gain the benefits without drugs? and they are free all you have to do is learn about them and pick them from the wilderness of the forest’s around the globe.                                                         I have no idea except the modern world is extremely slow top catch up with the 3rd (I hate that word as they are not all in that category!) world countries that know better! Its embarrassing!.  I have to admit that the people around the world are more educated in health matters and have survived for 1000’s of years using natural plant product’s and we are only just learning about them, yet we are supposed to be the more advanced educated races.

I also tried  “Reiki” with a lady in Retford, that works great but for me I need acupuncture, cupping and massages for me they are far better; leaving me either tired and in need of a rest or sleep! and more often ready to take on the world.

Since my 11th birthday I have had to date 21 operations, (at least 2 more to come) now I am getting older :)! but my ailments have been helped with the treatments from the following people at Sean Bark’s Clinic:  these two wonderful people are perfect, clever bright and extremely knowledgeable & patient with you for all the time you are under their care and protection, they are also more educated than me on the matters and they know all about “Your Health” being well tried tested, working hard to improve their knowledge constantly to help you. they both have many clients in many areas  for those  willing to travel for their expertise!  They trained and worked hard for many years  to get where they are now “Very Professional”                                                                   They are Austin & Sarah, who are always available for advice on how they can help you, “all of you”  be  better people from the inside out!!

A little more positive mental attitude for you.  Thank you for taking the time to read my message.  Gray

Ultimately, it’s up to each of us to choose how we will live our lives, hold ourselves to high standards, and continually evaluate what’s inside the image we see in the mirror.—Eric Harvey

Courage is a door that can only be opened from the inside.—Terry Neil

The 'i' in illness is isolation, and the crucial letters in wellness is 'we'.

Every human being on the planet wants to be happy. Anything that anyone desires is because they think their desire will make them happy. Whether it is health, money, a loving relationship, material things, accomplishments, a job, or anything at all, the desire for happiness is the bottom line of all of them. But remember that happiness is a state inside of us, and something on the outside can only bring fleeting happiness, because material things are impermanent. Permanent happiness comes from you choosing to be permanently happy. When you choose happiness, then you attract all the happy things as well. The happy things are the icing on the cake, but the cake is happiness. May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

“People use drugs, legal and illegal, because their lives are intolerably painful or dull. They hate their work and find no rest in their leisure. They are estranged from their families and their neighbour’s. It should tell us something that in healthy societies drug use is celebrative, convivial, and occasional, whereas among us it is lonely, shameful, and addictive. We need drugs, apparently, because we have lost each other.”

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make HOPE Lemonade

Joni Aldrich

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

People often ask me how I do what I do — the basics are simple:

From childhood, I was taught never to say, “I cannot.” To this day, I excel at whatever I’m doing, especially if someone tells me that I can’t do it.

Be true to your core beliefs. Go where God leads you, even if you feel like asking “who me?” God will bring the people into your life that you need, when you need them. In short, He will take care of the details.

Aristotle said, “Where your talents and the needs of the world cross, lies your calling.”

Set your goals with this in mind—make sure that what you do will matter. There is no better feeling than helping people by what you do.

Take your challenges and grow through them to make HOPE lemonade. Humour is an absolutely critical element, even when your life is upside down.

Always show others your good side. Being Southern, I believe in greeting people with a smile and “how are you?” Even in the dark days after my husband died, I still greeted people that way. What would have been the benefit of showing them what was truly inside? This same upbringing taught me to treat people the way that you want to be treated.

For every minute you remain angry, you give up sixty seconds of peace of mind. Ralph Waldo Emerson

When you or someone you love is diagnosed with cancer, you’ll need the principles above and more. Advice for cancer patients, caregivers, their families and friends:

Define all of your resources and use them to find the right cancer treatment facility, oncologist and protocol. The best answers are not always the obvious ones. This is your life—invest your knowledge, courage, faith, and focus on the right goals.

Don’t believe everything that you read or hear. If your oncologist tells you that you have six-months to live, then do the following:

  • Live today like there is no tomorrow (you should be doing that anyway).
  • Spend time loving your family and friends (you should be doing that anyway).
  • Make your peace with God and pray often.
  • Use the remainder of your precious time in an effort to make that oncologist eat his words! You are not stamped with an expiration date.

Make a conscious effort to do something good for yourself every day—no matter what your circumstances might be. Many care receivers live longer than their caregivers, because you tend to lose yourself in the process.

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle

It is part of life to lose loved ones. Allow yourself to grieve. Don’t try to hide your emotions with anti-depressants; go to the gym instead. The strength that you need to get through your grief is inside of you.

Finally, no matter where life takes you, never forget to be thankful. Remember the blessings that you have received today and in your lifetime.

Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of. Benjamin Franklin
