Develope yourself

Change your mental attitude, and the world around you will change accordingly.
Your world will become what you choose to make it. You can reach great heights of success, or you can settle for a miserable life that is devoid of hope. The choice is yours. When you choose a positive course, you set in motion an unstoppable force that will allow you to have a fulfilling career, the love of your family and friends, good physical and mental health, and all of the other true riches of life. To change your world, you must change it from the inside out. You must begin with yourself. When you choose the course that puts your life on a positive track, you will change your life for the better, and you will also positively influence the people with whom you come in contact.            Napoleon Hill

Develop your core self.
‘ ‘Human beings are the only creatures who do not mature automatically. A baby chick has no choice but to turn into a chicken. But the world is full of people stuck in childhood and adolescence, no matter how old they happen to be. For us, to mature is a decision: Adulthood is an achievement, one that requires—and results in—personal power.
This can takes decades, but it starts with a vision of the "core self." This is the part of you that connects to reality, placing you at the centre of experiences that you personally create. To have a core self is to be the author of your own story; it is the exact opposite of being a victim, who must live a life authored by others.

Powerful thinking creates a powerful energy in your life, but it all starts with a powerful heart “Heart Set” which creates a “Powerful Mind Set”

Align yourself with the flow of evolution, or personal growth.
Once you establish your core self as a goal, your path will unfold and you will evolve. This evolution is wobbly at first; everyone has at least some elements of ignorance and immaturity. But’ ‘thanks to free will, you can help guide your own evolution. The simple fact is that we all desire more and better things for ourselves. If those more and better things are good for our growth, then we are guiding our own positive and powerful evolution. In India they make a distinction between dharma and adharma. Dharma includes whatever naturally upholds life: happiness, truth, duty, virtue, wonder, worship, reverence, appreciation, nonviolence, love, self-respect. On the other hand, adharma consists of choices that do not support life naturally: anger, violence, fear, control, dogmatism, scepticism, unvirtuous acts, prejudice, addiction, intolerance, and unconsciousness in general.
For our purposes, dharma is the ultimate power. It easily supports you, a single individual. What is asked of you is that you honestly look at your everyday life and the choices you are making. Ask yourself how to increase the dharmic
choices and decrease the adharmic ones.

You learn in life that the only person you can really correct and change is yourself.   You never achieve real success unless you like what you are doing.    Your own mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter except by your permission.  Stan Billue

Trust in a power that transcends everyday reality.
Nothing described so far will come true without a higher reality. For the moment, let’s leave aside religion and any reference to God. Fortunately, to have even a speck of consciousness is to be connected to the finite consciousness that supports life, evolution, creativity, and intelligence. None of these things are accidental or a privilege handed out to the lucky few.
To use a metaphor, imagine that you are caught in a net. All nets have holes, so find one, and jump through it. I’ve known wives of abusive husbands who found a hole through, say, learning to paint. For them, it was an escape route, and as they made art, their thinking changed from "I am trapped and can do nothing" to "I must be worth more than I imagined, because look at this beautiful thing I created." Escape routes exist along the qualities hidden in consciousness. They include:
Creativity. Go beyond by discovery and exploration. This leads to insight. Your inner vision clears. You start to see glimmers of light through the fog of your situation. Something more beautiful starts to attract you, and you want to go toward it.
Intelligence. Let your mind lead the way. You start having newer, more exciting thoughts than the old habitual ones you’ve been following. Beliefs are challenged. New points of view attract you, so you move toward them. You’ll want to expand your mind in place of living behind defences and boundaries.
Love and compassion. Discover that you can forgive yourself and others. Fantasies of hurt and revenge are replaced with emotional softening. You see that there is untapped love around you, so you move toward it. The fact that you desire to love and be loved starts to motivate you, without excuses about being unworthy.
Quantum leaps. Notice—and learn—when you have an epiphany, a moment of dramatic awakening. These are the great "aha" experiences that peel away an entire layer of reality. We say that the heavens open, but really it’s a new level of consciousness, one that brings more light.
Devotion. Understand that life is full of awe and wonder. From this you see a reason to revere your own existence. You have been placed in a world where you can be devoted to something, and your worship gives you a sense of worth.
These escape routes all lead back to the person you really are, and that person know that what really counts extends far beyond the individual: the glory of creation, the beauty of nature, the heart qualities of love and compassion, the mental power to discover new things, and those unexpected epiphanies that bring the presence of God—these universal aspects are your true source of power. They are you, and you are all of them.

Our highest power is love, and it is one thing each of us has an unlimited amount of. How much love do you give to others in one day? Each day we have an opportunity to set out with this great, unlimited power in our possession, and pour it over every person and circumstance. Love is appreciating, complimenting, feeling gratitude, and speaking good words to others We have so much love to give, and the more that we give, the more we receive. “Personal Development” part one of two

Dependability is the first foundation stone of good character.
People of character do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it, and according to agreed-upon conditions. They are the leaders, the individuals to whom others turn for guidance, because they have demonstrated that they care, that they can be trusted. If you respect yourself enough to keep commitments even when it’s inconvenient to do so, others will come to respect you too. Dependability, like any other character trait, is a habit. Begin today to develop the dependability habit. If you procrastinate or find it difficult to meet your commitments, start small. Promise yourself that you will be on time, for example, and manage your time so that you are. Soon you will find that it’s easier to keep other commitments as well.                    – Napoleon Hill

There has been a lot of research over many years from many famous and non famous people in the world of “Development” to assist you in understanding how to attain true health, wealth and happiness.

Be the type of person you wan't to meet_thumb[3]When first introduced to the world of personal development, I was one of those people that said “yeah right”. I fought the idea, but my reason for looking in the first place was more compelling than the reason (lack of belief in doing it) not to do it. Working on understanding how you tick is not a fun thing to do at first, because you can tend to focus on all the things that are wrong with you. You have to be willing to accept the fact that you are not perfect and could improve in a number of places. The good news is you also have just as great an opportunity to focus on the good that you have in you too.

Good personal development, that is personal development that allows you to develop personally over time, will take you on a tour of your mind, usually over about 90 days. Part of the trick is to stay with it, after all, you went to school to learn how to learn for 12 years, you may have gone to college to learn specialty skills for 2-5 years or more. The point is you will not understand yourself over night, it will take 90 days just to break into your mind and learn how to operate it and a lifetime to master it.

Have you ever taken the time to assess your good and bad points, understood the background to some of your “bad habits”, thought that you are supposed to be wealthy? If not, why not?

Everything we do is based on “beliefs”, beliefs are things that we develop over time, some of them are based on fact, some are based on fiction, while others are based on someone else’s beliefs. For example, we know that if you touch a stove-top element when it is hot, you will get burned. Maybe you learned this yourself and experienced the pain or you learned this from someone else that told you. Another example could be that you believe you will never be wealthy because either someone told you, or you have experienced it that way so far and have just given up. Shame on you!

Bill Gates, one man, has made over 50 Billion dollars and he is not the only one; he did it from nothing more than an idea. If he believed it when people told him that he could never be a Billionaire, he never would have become one. Bill Gates is a Billionaire because he is a student of personal development; he has learned how to set goals, visualize them and attain them by understanding how his mind works.

Freedom is a belief that most of us do not really understand, one would initially think that freedom would not have any limits or costs. Well, wake-up, if you live like most go and go to a job every day, you are only as free as the distance you can go away from your job so you can be back on time tomorrow.

Now, living Beyond Freedom is a lifestyle that most of us do not believe is possible. Here is the think, there is a life out there that you deserve to have, it can be found in yourself, you just need to know where it is hiding. Living Beyond Freedom will bring you into a whole new world, a world where you can attain true health, wealth and happiness.

So, go find some books, programs, etc. and begin to create the life you know you deserve. If you need some help finding the right ones, contact me and I will get you to the place that I know is best

Little value comes out of the belief that people will respond progressively better by treating them progressively worse. — Eric Harvey

Wise Words  “Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?”                 -Mary Manin Morrissey,

Never worry about what to do, simply decide how to be. ~ Trevor Emdon

Trevor is a life and metaphysics coach who’s studied the human mind and its desires for almost 40 years.

If I could share 500 words of wisdom to summarize what I’ve learned so far in life, these are the important things I’d want to pass along to others…

You do not have free will. I’m sorry if I’m the first to break that to you.
What you have is total freedom to choose how you will follow the laws of the universe. If you try to change or break or ignore the laws you will struggle and suffer. That’s not a threat. It isn’t divine retribution.
Let’s look at it another way.

You can cook toast in your toaster. But should you decide to boil water in your toaster, or worse, that you are going to try to keep the electricity coming down the cables at bay with your fingers, I assure you, you’re going to suffer. The electricity isn’t vengeful. It’s just electricity. You just don’t have that kind of power or free will. But you do have the resourcefulness to invent a better kind of toaster if you want to.
See what I mean?  Now, that’s electricity, but what about the law of attraction? The one that says, "Ask and it is given"?

You have an incredible gift; one in which you do have total freedom – and that is the gift of imagination. With imagination you can change your thoughts – what you think about and how you think about a thing. As you do that, you’ll notice that your feelings will follow.
You can make yourself feel good – at will. You have that freedom. So why don’t you use it?
This is not a universe where you look at something and react with worry or fear, but to watch our news and most people’s behaviour, you’d think so, wouldn’t you?

What you perceive every day with your five senses isn’t reality – it’s results! The results of what you have thought and believed – in general – thus far in your life.
If you consciously and consistently change your general thoughts and beliefs, your reality will change too. Not instantly – there’s a time lag. Plant seeds and you will get plants – eventually.

Seeds are a good metaphor for us. I planted some herb seeds – chives and parsley among others. Where I planted chive seeds, chives began to grow, and parsley where the parsley seeds were and so on.   So what? you ask.

Well, if you plant seeds of success and happiness in your mind, and constantly nourish those seeds, it is inevitable that you will start to see success and happiness filling your life. You need to do this even if your five senses are telling you that right now things are different to that. Because "right now" was planted in your mind some time ago. Today’s circumstances are the fruits of your old thoughts!

Plant new seeds, get new plants.
Plant and nurture every day the seeds of a fulfilling, joyous life and that’s exactly what you will have. I promise because it wasn’t my idea. It was God’s.        Trevor Emdon

Wise Words  “There are those of us who are always about to live. We are waiting until things change, until there is more time, until we are less tired, until we get a promotion, until we settle down – until, until, until. It always seems as if there is some major event that must occur in our lives before we begin living.” -George Sheehan

6 lessons to live by Ari Emanuel

PMA Added…

When you demand a blessing, what you’re demanding is of you.
You’re demanding yourself to change your attitude. You’re demanding yourself to see it differently. You’re demanding yourself to open up to the truth of who you are, and then naturally the results will become different.
Matter must obey the intent of consciousness, and is obeying the intent of consciousness.
Your body, your affairs, your relationships, your money — all of it is obeying the intent of your consciousness, right now.
What we demand is that we expand our awareness. Here’s To The Expansion.

The Six Lessons I Live By

clip_image001 Ari Emanuel

1. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and move out of their way.

If you feel like you know everything, you’re wrong. I know what I don’t know and then I find partners who can teach me. A perfect example is my partnership with Patrick Whitesell, my co-CEO at WME. While we take on different roles at the company and focus on different things, we share the same goals and at the end of the day, we’re working toward the same end. That’s been the key to our success.

2. The only constant in business is change. Get comfortable with it.

When I started in the business, there were four broadcast networks and 19 cable networks. Now there are five broadcast networks, 117 cable networks, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, HBOGo, iTunes, Amazon Prime, VOD – the list goes on and on. Next year there will be more distribution platforms, and in ten years the landscape will have shifted another 180 degrees. The business is changing quickly, and the only way to succeed is to change with it. I always tell my colleagues, there is no such thing as a traditional talent agent anymore. It’s about pushing beyond that 10% commission and finding opportunity where it didn’t exist before.

3. Fail often, fail quickly.

Nobody fucks up like I do, but you’ll never succeed unless you take risks. Big ones. In 2009, we took Endeavor, a company that was doing incredibly well, and merged it with the oldest talent agency in the world. From a cultural and organizational standpoint, it was a big risk. People had their doubts. But we had a vision and a lot of help from very smart people (see #1.) Three years later, our business is stronger, our bench is deeper and smarter, and our deal-making is more innovative. It’s a better company – period. You have to lead by example if you want to promote a culture where risk-taking is rewarded.

4. Your schedule makes you dumber.

Force yourself outside of your daily schedule. Be curious and take time to learn about worlds outside of the one you live in. Watch the news, read the paper, educate yourself. Don’t be afraid to call people you don’t know, start a conversation, and ask for things you need. At the very least, you’ll be more interesting. At the most, you’ll take your business in new and bigger directions.

5. You only get one shot – make it count.

I learned this the painful way. After being hit by a car and lying face-down in the middle of Wilshire Boulevard, I was confronted with a whole lot more than my mortality. Take advantage of each day that’s given to you and do something to move the needle on your business, even if it’s just an inch. You’ve heard it before, but life is not a dress rehearsal. Don’t waste your time (or mine.)

6. Good ideas rule all.

In the end, it’s all about creative ideas and content – it’s the lifeblood of our business. I’m fortunate enough to work with the writers, directors, musicians and actors who are defining culture with their voices. It’s why I come to work in the morning. In 100 years, when the world looks different, and we communicate in new ways, and we have more devices and platforms and distribution methods, I believe great artistry will still matter most.

ed……

Life is an ever-upward progression, seeking to express itself through every one of us. This entire universe is in an evolving process of becoming.  There’s an opportunity to view what looks like a problem to us, as we would view a child’s difficulties.  When we can see a child’s difficulties from the adult perspective, we know the child will get past it.
We know that with new learning and understanding we get a bigger paradigm.  We can experience becoming greater than the "problem" we’re facing, and with that, life brings the empowering result that we’re holding in mind and energizing with our beliefs.
