Set your sights high, the higher the better. Expect the most wonderful things to happen, not in the future but right now. Realize that nothing is too good. Allow absolutely nothing to hamper you or hold you up in any way." Eileen Caddy 1917-2006, Author

How to Make Sure Your Glass is Always Full

Regina CatesIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

Money does not make you rich, character does. There are lots of wealthy people who are absolutely impoverished in character. You cannot buy a reputation for being a person of good character. It is earned by being a respectful, kind and responsible. You are truly wealthy when you accept the greatest legacy you will ever leave is choosing how well you live.

Be genuinely grateful for what you have in life and tearing up the list of what you do not have will be gratifying. Attitude is everything. Have an attitude of lack, and life will be a never-ending search for the next “thing” to fill the holes within your heart. An attitude of gratitude magically plugs those holes.

Treating other people as you want to be treated does not mean waiting for them to go first. Leaders lead by “being the change they want to see.” Frustration, anger and disappointment come from waiting for others to go first.

You cannot change anyone other than yourself. When you change yourself for the better, the world changes for the better because your positive actions influence those who see your behaviour. That is why changed people change people, without trying. They lead change by example.

Every soul is whole no matter how wounded the human being. No matter how low you have gone in life, there is wisdom and strength within you that will get you successfully to the other side. The key is to accept you are not your problems. YOU are bigger than any challenge you face.

Regardless of what happened to you in the past or how you were mistreated by others, what matters most is how you are treating yourself today. Hurting yourself will never get back at those who hurt you in the first place. The truth is that loving yourself is an excellent way to prove their mistreatment wrong.

Being gentle with yourself, other people and all life is one of the strongest things you do. Gentleness is not weakness. It takes great strength to have the self-control necessary to be kind.

You are going to lose a friend and you will find a new friend. You will lose a love and you will find a new love. You will lose a job and you will find a new job. You will lose a bad habit and you will find a good habit. There is gain through loss. Everything changes so don’t get stuck in the hard parts of life. Instead view the challenges as opportunities to grow and you will blossom.

It’s okay to get angry and frustrated at times. It’s not okay to make these a lifestyle. You are responsible for your own happiness. If life is not going well then it is time for you to do something about it.

Your glass will only remain half full until you realize you are the one holding the pitcher. Don’t sit around waiting for someone to rescue you. You must be your own superhero.

    Dare to DREAM BIG

    Debra KeirceIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

    Do it.
    Dare to dream.
    Dream big.
    Dream the details.
    Imagine the day when your dream comes true.
    Surround yourself with people who support your dream. In turn, support them in their dreams.

    In this way, you will succeed. Be willing to sacrifice, and be willing to walk away from those who criticize or distract. Be generous and loving in your pursuits. Lift others up because you know that your biggest assets in this journey are the love and support of those around you. Let go of anyone who tries to hold you back. Do not judge, and do not allow yourself to be judged. Keep your eyes on the prize. It doesn’t matter whether people understand your intentions. It doesn’t matter if you fail in your first attempts. You will fail in your first attempts. The journey will be full of unexpected turns and amazing adventures. Take time to thoroughly enjoy achievements along the way. The biggest dreams are full of the biggest joys, the deepest disappointments and the most adversity. Through it all, keep an unrelenting focus on your goals.

    “Dream” is a verb. It is an act that starts with a single thought. It’s not something that happens to you. It’s not a story you can watch play out on its own. It is not a description of something attained by a privileged few. It’s not a reward for being in the right place at the right time. Dreaming requires your active participation. Plan for success. Structure that single thought in a unique way that describes joy, contentment, peace, happiness and success for you on a very personal level. Nurture and feed that thought so it can grow. Chance opportunities will present themselves, but don’t rely on chance. Rather, be prepared to forge ahead when doors open for you. If you dare to dream, be tenacious in pursuit of that dream. Invest yourself heart and soul.

    Even before you reach your goals, you will inspire people to set their own. With every challenge that knocks you down, people will see you as a Luminary when you get back up and soldier on.

    If you want to change the world in a positive way, dream with passion.

    See the path to the finish line as your life’s journey. And when one dream ends, celebrate and start a new one. Show us how it’s done. Simply, dream. Do it.

    Debra Keirce is an internationally collected artist who lives in Northern Virginia, USA. Debra paints from life, photo references, and her imagination. Her paintings are very realistic, but her subject matter is nothing that exists for you to readily photograph. For this reason, her art is often referred to as hauntingly familiar. Art critic Brian Sherwin, Editor of The Art Edge, commented on Debra’s still life paintings. Sherwin said, "Artist Debra Keirce approaches her still life paintings with a playful sense of surrealism. The work I observed appears to capture a dream-like quality. This quality is heightened by Debra’s love of unique still life arrangements." For Ms. Keirce, being an artist is the continuation of a dream that started in Detroit in 1978 when she was 17 years old. That was the year she decided to live a life of magic, and seemingly improbable, if not impossible, goals. She decided then and there to become a chemical engineer. She later left engineering to raise a family when she was on the verge of being promoted into management, raise three children as a stay at home mom, and began a successful career as a professional fine artist. And, the dream continues.

    Ask, Believe, Receive – just three simple steps to create what you want. However, very often the second step, believe, can be the most difficult one. And yet it is the greatest step you will ever take. When you master believing, you have mastered your life.

    To master believing, all you have to do is tip the balance of your thoughts, words, and actions, from ‘not believing’ to believing. The ONLY thing that can ever get in the way of manifesting what you want, is having more thoughts of ‘not believing’, speaking more words of ‘not believing’, and taking more actions of ‘not believing’, than you are of believing. Base the majority of your thoughts, words, and actions in believing, and the law of attraction must obey you.  Rhonda Byrne “The Secret”

    “The Power is from within, the choice is yours.”

    Life is the sum of all our choices.. or is it.

    This is something I am very interested in, it is  personal  to me and f rom the heart, it should be to you.    I have had this on my mind for a very long time, presently struggling with injuries from being a war veteran,

    I NEVER EVER GIVE UP  Neither should you!!

    If you are going through “HELL” keep going…

    or if you prefer

    If you are going through HELL do not stop….

    Faith is what makes life bearable with all its tragedies

    why? I hope you are you asking…

    Consider your life and where you are now.  No matter what life throws at you are you a quitter? or a believer?  I go through hell often and since a child I have had to work hard, but it is worth it to yourself for the most part..

    If you decide to stop what are you doing?  “Giving up” is the correct wording, I had a rough life as a child being the eldest of 6 boys, may years ago BUT I believed in myself from around the age of 10 as I had to grow up very quickly, my mother dies early and I was in charge of the family.. Now think hard before you complain about your life and what it has or has not done to or for you..  there are others in situations you could not believe in, they do not all  give in many work hard to be better… AND some become leaders!!

    The world owes you everything and nothing, it is up to you what you become, from this day forth.

    We can all be sorry for ourselves and our lives from the past and present but it is up to use how and what we become, no matter who brought you into this world the decision is yours!  Make your parents  and your own family happy show them you can be better and helping others is paramount.  Be grateful for who you are where you are from and where you are going!  you will be blessed, loved and have the ability to inspire  others,, worse of than yourself.  they will think more like you as a teacher supporter  and guide to others, for ever!

    Have faith believe in yourselves.  Attitude is everything no one can give it to you it is something you have to decide on.  Be an inspiration to others and grow in faith and self belief, be the winner you know you can be

    Your life deos not get better by chance but by change

    Success and failure comes in pairs. Either you have a pair of Aces called “Resolve & Undenied” or a pair of jokers called “Wishing & Wanting You’re hand to play

    “The past has one good thing about it; you can learn from it and not make those mistakes again”

    “Living in the past is like living in a coffin; it’s totally constraining and ends up being a lid on your growth”

    Life is like an apple, what you do with the core when it is all said and done speaks volumes

    Motivation is said to be an inside job, actually it is an inside career for very successful people

    I hope you now listen learn and improve as I have done and still doing so even at my tender age of 69.  I wish you all well from this day forth.  Love to all readers, where ever you may be..Gray

    Attitude and The Power of One

    ”People build too many walls and not enough bridges.” – Isaac Newton

    An area of importance to us all, should we decide to be better

    Getting the best from yourself and others all starts with one: one thought … one word … one action.

    Activities010[1]“One” is the first note in orchestrating the personal attitude that shapes and directs your life – and impacts the members of your team. Contrary to the lyrics from a classic rock song, one is not the loneliest number. It’s the most important one!
    Your thoughts, words, and actions are like individual notes that work in concert to create the power of one person – YOU – to make a difference. You can harness your “power of one” if you simply:

    • Catch one negative thought and turn it into a positive one;
    • Think of one thing for which you are grateful at the beginning of each day;
    • Say one “Fantastic!” when a friend or team member asks how you are doing;
    • Assume the best in one upcoming situation;
    • Keep on moving one more time when you experience adversity;
    • Help one friend or colleague in a time of need – and take pride in it.

    Optimism thumbs upMany people used to feel that one vote in an election couldn’t really make a difference. Well, recent political elections that have been decided by razor thin margins have proven them wrong. A single
    act can make a difference … it can create a ripple effect felt many miles and people away. So, ask yourself: What’s one thing I can do today that will make a positive difference in my attitude? Then DO IT!
    Repeat that process every day and your life will improve – and so will the lives of the people you lead. Attitudes are truly powerful … and they’re contagious!

    Companion

    I am your constant companion.
    I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.
    I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
    I am completely at your command.
    Half the things you do might just as well be turned over to me, and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
    I am easily managed – you must merely be firm with me.
    Show me exactly how you want something done, and after enough lessons, I will do it automatically.
    I am the servant of all great people and, alas, of all failures.
    Those who are great, I have made great.
    Those who are failures, I have made failures.
    I am not a machine, though I work with the precision of a machine and the intelligence of a person.
    You may run me for profit or run me for ruin – it makes no difference to me.
    Take me, train me, and be firm with me, and I will place the world at your feet.
    Be easy with me and I will destroy you.
    Who am I?
    I am habit!

    From The Secret Daily Teachings

    The process of creation is the same for all things, whether you want to bring something to you or remove something negative from your life.

    If you have a habit you wish to break, or anything negative you wish to remove from your life, you must focus on what you want. That means you visualize and imagine yourself in that negative-free state right now. Imagine yourself in as many scenes as you possibly can where the negative situation is completely absent. Imagine yourself happy and free. Eliminate any picture from your mind of you with the negative situation. Just imagine yourself in the state you want to be in, and feel that you are that, right now.

    May the joy be with you – Rhonda Byrne

    Belief
    There is a difference between wishing for a thing and being ready to receive it. No one is ready for a thing until he believes he can acquire it. The state of mind must be belief, not mere hope or wish. Open-mindedness is essential for belief. Closed minds do not inspire faith, courage, and belief. Napoleon Hill
