From The Secret Daily Teachings

When you exist in the great state of gratitude, you become a person who only wants to give. You become so grateful that it takes over your life, and you can’t find enough opportunities in a day to give. You give joy, you give love, you give money, you give appreciation, you give compliments, and you give kindness. You give the best of yourself in your job, in your relationships, and to strangers.

You will know when you have really found true gratitude, because you will become a giver. One who is truly grateful cannot be anything else.

May the joy be with you,

5 Principles of Balanced Success

Family, Opportunity

Ruth NemzoffIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

After having several successful careers, a marriage of fifty-one years, four children, and eight grandchildren, people ask how I’ve done it all. With hindsight, I see that I’ve always had these five guiding principles in the back of my mind.

1. When opportunity knocks, answer. Take every opportunity that comes your way, even if you don’t have a clue how to do the task. You’ll either figure out how to do it, or you’ll fail and pick yourself up and move on. Either way you will have learned something. Remember, you don’t learn to play tennis without hitting the ball into the net a few times.

2. Work, family and community. always have these three arenas in your life. Invariably something will be good in one of these arenas and something will be frustrating in another. In just one day, you may be praised at work and “dissed” at home, or vice versa. This helps you keep perspective that you are human.

3. Prioritize family. In the tough times that come to every life, loved ones matter, not money or things. It is easy to let the family take second place, because they won’t fire you. It often seems impossible to do this when you are working and bringing up young children. But merely putting down your phone or computer and looking directly at your partner or child while they are talking to you can save you time in the long run.

4. Take care of yourself. Figure out what is the most efficient way for you to get some time to yourself. For some, this is simply staring out the window while doing the dishes or vegging out during the work commute. For others, it involves listening to music or exercising for twenty minutes. If you only serve others you become resentful. Sometimes all you can do is take a second each day to note the beauty of the sky. Even this will refresh you.

5. Don’t strive for perfection. We are all a mix of assets and liabilities. Strengthen both, but recognize that what makes us unique is the combination. Don’t waste precious time being angry with yourself. Instead, learn from your mistakes and act better the next time. Moreover, in order to have good relationships with others, you have to have a good relationship with yourself. Enjoy who you are, be forgiving of yourself.

Life is filled with twists and turns. We cannot control everything that happens to us but we have some role in how we react to the circumstances that come our way. Make a plan, set goals, prepare for the future you want, but recognize the plan needs constant modification. Be nimble and be quick to change course as opportunities come your way.  Do not waste time regretting what can no longer be. I learned from my father, who was a school teacher and a principal, that one must make decisions and then make them the best decision. Be proactive to do so.

A burning desire to be and to do is the starting point from which the dreamer must take off.
Many years ago, the commencement speaker at a prestigious university asked all members of the graduating class who had a definite plan for their lives to hold up their hands. As he looked around the room, only three hands were raised. Twenty-five years later, when the class held a reunion, the combined net worth of those three individuals exceeded that of the remainder of the class. People who know where they are going, always achieve far greater levels of success than those who merely drift through life, expecting circumstances to create opportunities for them. Successful people create their own opportunities by focusing on goals with an intensity that borders on obsession. In this way, every action moves them toward their goal.     Napoleon Hill

How to Embrace the Holy Mess Of Your Life

Mary O'MalleyI have had a plaque on my fireplace for a long time by artist Kelly Rae Roberts which says, “Kindness Changes Everything”. A friend of mine recently sent me another one of Kelly Rae’s inspirational quotes, “Embrace the imperfections, the chaos, the HOLY MESS of your BEAUTIFUL life”.  I love both of these sayings because they are all about the heart. While most people try to get rid of the uncomfortable stuff in their lives, true healing is about allowing our imperfections and chaos to float into our hearts. How do we do this? By embracing it all with kindness.

Holy Mess Kelly Rae RobertsCarl Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist, was one of the first people who said a human being is a community. Within this community, we have parts that we like, and then we have the parts we don’t like. The parts we don’t like I call spells, such as fear, despair, anger, sadness, and grief. And in our community, the unlikable parts are at war with one another or we are at war with them. We try to hold onto the parts we think are okay, and push away the parts we don’t like. And this is true suffering. Let’s say you don’t like a body part, such as your thumb.  Maybe you don’t like the size or shape of your thumb. Would cutting it off make you happier? Of course not, and you certainly would be able to do a lot less. This is what we do in life. We cut this out and that out, trying to get to a better state, but it is an endless game.

True healing is about turning toward and making space for whatever is showing up in our lives. It is about befriending, keeping company with, allowing, honouring, respecting, acknowledging, and developing a relationship with all of these parts we don’t like or what Kelly Rae calls “the holy mess.” It is about noticing what is here right now when the mind goes into its struggle mode and tightens our bodies.

When this happens to me, I touch it with my heart by first asking, “Okay, what is it that you don’t want to explore in this moment?” and then I say to the scared one inside of me, “Oh this is what life is offering. This is what is passing through right now. No need to push it away, you belong here.”

I have a new mantra that helps me bring kindness into my heart, “Striving…Arriving.” I say “Striving” on the in-breath and then on a long, slow, out-breath, I say “Arriving.” Striving is the mind that is busy liking, disliking, and turning life into a problem. It has spent its whole life trying to manage this and that, and it is always fixing, changing, or rearranging everything it doesn’t like. I don’t judge this busy mind or try to make it bad or wrong for striving because this is what it learned to do when it was very young. We have given our minds a task that it was never meant to do, and that is, being in charge of life. But, the mind is not in charge. Life is in charge of Life and what it is offering is trustable (but not always likable). Most people don’t truly experience Life because they are too busy trying to control it.

The second part of the mantra, “Arriving,” is about being open to life. Arriving is what we long for. How do we arrive? By getting to know the fear-based mind and by showing it kindness and compassion. My practice of “Arriving” is about acknowledging the waves of sadness, grief, pain and anger that are passing through. I do this by talking to my scared one, or rubbing my heart, or just acknowledging that my scared one is here by saying, “I see you.” By giving her the attention and love she so desperately needs, I have fallen more in love with this crazy, neurotic, easily-overwhelmed, separate mess of a self than I ever have been.  When I touch her with my heart, she just lets go and relaxes back into life.

What would happen if, when your mind gets activated and your body is tight, you really knew that it is safe to let go into the process?  The next time you feel this way, make some time to become quiet and start to get to know your sacred mess, your beautiful mess, your holy mess. Do it all with kindness. Then, let go and let life. Notice how you feel afterward.

Six Determined Reasons for the Desire of Riches

How can you make a big dream come true?  You need to have one secret element, and when you have that secret element, nothing will get in your way. That element is an intense desire! You must desire something with all of your heart to manifest it. Often the difference between those who manifest something and those who do not, is the element of desire. When you have a burning desire for something you ignite a fire within you that attracts with an incredible force. The law of attraction is magnetically drawn to that intense fire element in you, and it responds by gathering all universal forces to make your dream come true.                                                                                                         Very often we ask for things because we think our life will be better with those things, but inside of us we do not have an immense desire for those things. When you don’t feel that immense desire within you, you are receiving guidance telling you that this is not something you really want. That is why it is so important to get clear on what it is that you really want with all of your heart, because what you really want with all of your heart is the very desire that you can manifest quickly.                                                          When your heart is on fire with desire you will attract the right things to do, you will find visualizing so easy, and you will find it is effortless to think positive thoughts of your desire. You will attract all the qualities you need, such as strength, courage, belief, persistence, faith, and a powerful will. An intense desire lights up your being, producing a magnetic force that enables the law of attraction to cut through every physical obstacle for you and make your dream come true.                                                                                Go for your dreams! Don’t cheat yourself in your life with petty desires because you don’t think you can live your dream. THE DREAM inside you is the one thing that you have the greatest power to create, because you have an immense desire for it. Find the dream inside you – and make it come true                                                                                Rhonda Byrne The Secret

The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial
equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps.

First. Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient
merely to say “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount. There is
a psychological reason for definiteness.

Second. Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you
desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.)

Third. Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you
desire.

Fourth. Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once,
whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

Fifth. Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend
to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to
give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you
intend to accumulate it.

Sixth. Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring
at night, and once after arising in the morning. “As You Read, See & Feel & Believe Yourself Already in Possession of The MONEY”.

Middle Class Underestimates the Wealth Building Power of Referral Marketing…World Class Knows Referral Marketing Creates Millionaires By Steve Siebold

Powerful thinking creates a powerful energy in your life, but it all starts with a powerful heart “Heart Set” which creates a “Powerful Mind Set”

Regret for the things we did can be tempered by timeThe masses have been ridiculing and criticizing referral marketers for over 50 years. Meanwhile, these highly trained, ferociously dedicated army of entrepreneurs have amassed billions in collective wealth. Their industry includes network/multi-level marketing, direct sales, party/event marketing, affiliate programs and others. Referral marketers don’t have fancy titles or corner offices. Some have master’s degrees and Ph.D’s, and others are high school dropouts. Their backgrounds span the spectrum and few common denominators: save one heart. You don’t have to an Ivy League education or a million-dollar portfolio to be successful in referral marketing, but you do have the heart of a lion.

People who gamble for money are potential cheaters because they are trying to get something for nothing.
Anyone who risks his or her wealth upon the fickle whims of chance is usually not the type of person you would like to have for a business partner. They are individuals who are most likely to yield to the temptation to cut corners on product quality, overlook unsafe working conditions, and generally fail to deliver on their promises. It is impossible to get something for nothing for a sustained period of time. The law of compensation is unforgiving in its demands that you get what you deserve. You may feel at times that you deserve better — and you may — but eventually your payback will be commensurate with your efforts. – Napoleon Hill

I’ve delivered speeches on mental toughness to some of the most prestigious audiences in the world. I’ve served on boards and committees with executives, movie stars, and even the President of the United States. I have interviewed hundreds of the wealthiest people in the world. After all this experience with and exposure to some of the best and brightest society has to offer, I can state emphatically that referral marketers are the most mentally tough business people on the planet. I’ve had tens of thousands of them in my audiences, and I’ve come respect this group of freedom fighters like no other. When it comes to mental toughness, they are in a league of their own. They start their business with a few bucks in their pocket and a dream in their heart. Most start out part time while still employed, and burn the candle at both ends kicking, scratching and fighting for their freedom. They are often jeered, scorned and criticized by the masses, yet they keep moving forward boldly and fearlessly like a locomotive thundering down the track. You can mentally beat them, kick them, and discourage them, and they just keep coming back for more. It is easy to ridicule someone chasing success who has not made it yet, and the masses do.

The word LOSE simply stands for Lack of Success Expectancy

The irony is, the general public’s rejection of referral marketers is what eventually makes them so mentally tough! By the time they’ve been rejected a thousand times, it no longer matters. The emotional pain they experience in the early days of recruiting and selling is erased and replaced by the realization that their ability to get rejected and persist it the reason they are able to earn millions of dollars doing it. They awaken to the idea that if you remove rejection from the equation, you remove the opportunity to be rich. Once this paradigm shift occurs, the referral marketer begins to see recruiting and selling as a game, and the more they play the richer they get. Referral marketing is the best chance for the average person to start a business for a few hundred dollars that has the potential to make them a millionaire, and more people are seeing every day.

The greatest power we have is the power of choice. It’s an actual fact that if you’ve been moping in unhappiness, you can choose to be joyous instead and, by effort, lift yourself into joy. What Your Top Priorities Should Be

Connections, Health, Priorities, Simplicity, Wealth

Luke SniewskiIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

SIMPLICITY

Enjoy and embrace simplicity.

No, that doesn’t mean poverty. Nor is that the polar opposite of wealth. Living simply is experiencing and appreciating the small things in life that are taken for granted by those constantly looking outside of themselves for happiness.

Real happiness will never be found in a pill, television, car, or iPod. This materialistic view will result in a never-ending pursuit of “things” that never quite fill the hole trying to be filled. In fact, it only grows with the more “things” you acquire. Instead, the key to happiness is found by satisfying the needs that should be natural and commonplace for all of mankind.

HEALTH

The things that make us human are the very same things that are lacking in the lives of those lost in their world of materialism. The first of these qualities is optimal health. Most of us are born with all the potential in to world to be healthy and happy. Yet in our quest for financial freedom, we get lost in the rat race. We neglect and sacrifice our own health for a few bucks. In the end, we are the ones that suffer with increased medical costs and, worse yet, a decreased quality of life.

There is an old saying that “he who dies with the most toys wins”. That statement could not be farther from the truth. Your health is all you have. Every time you avoid fast foods and choose wholesome natural foods, you are investing in yourself and your future. When you choose to exercise instead of playing video games, you circulate life-providing blood, oxygen, and nutrients throughout your body.

Nothing pays higher dividends than the healthy lifestyles that provide the nourishment you need to function at optimal levels. In order to enjoy the toys you do acquire during this lifetime, make sure you live long enough to truly enjoy them.

RELATIONSHIPS

The need to connect is so obvious when you see the popularity of social networking websites. There is a valuable lesson to be learned here. Help and support your community and they will support you. Living in fear inside four walls and a ceiling, you will miss out on so much growth and support available to you. A stranger is only a friend you’ve yet to meet. When you find your family, friends, and people, live for them.
