Successful Networker Serendipity

Serenity is not a place we find outside ourselves but from withinDo you believe in serendipity?

My Oxford dictionary defines serendipity as "the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way".  Clearly, just by the laws of chance, such events will occur, and they will occur quite frequently.


Carl Jung referred in his research to "synchronicity", which is very similar.  The definition of synchronicity is "the simultaneous occurrence of events which appear significantly related but have no discernible causal connection".  In Jung’s research the linked events were generally not serendipitous.  They were not specifically "happy or beneficial".

Taking a leaf from Shakespeare’s book, I am going to invent a new word by combining the two.  I believe in "synchrondipity".  My definition of synchrondipity is "the simultaneous occurrence and development of significantly related events, with no discernable causal connection, in a happy or beneficial way".  I believe synchrondipity can occur other than by chance.  I believe this is one of the ways things are purposely arranged by "the Universe", or "God", "Allah" or whatever/whoever else you believe is in control.  I will refer to "the Universe" in the rest of this article, as I don’t want to keep repeating "or God, or Allah", but if you are more comfortable using a different word, simply replace "Universe" with that word in your own mind.

This links closely to the Law of Attraction and is one of the main ways in which this Law works.  Many people think that the Law of Attraction is simply that you must project a belief that something will happen and then it magically will.  For example, you want to become very wealthy, so you visualize a million dollars in your bank account, and then just sit back and wait for the million dollars to appear.  If this is how you apply the Law of Attraction you will probably be waiting a very long time!  Not because a million dollars is too much for the Universe to provide.  Far from it!  Such a task is well within the capability of the infinite Universe.  The problem is that you are not ready to receive that million dollars.  The Universe will attempt to deliver it, probably in many small deliveries, but when it knocks on your door to deliver the package you don’t answer the door!  It will attempt the deliveries through synchrondipity.

Never let success get to your headEvents will arise which are intended to lead you to your desired outcome.  But you have to be open to the leading of the Universe and see those events for what they are – steps towards your goal.  Take advantage of those events by taking action.  It is the action you take that will lead you closer to your goal.  When you eventually receive your reward it will seem to all around you that there was nothing magical about it at all – it was the inevitable result of the actions you took.  They will admire you for having the courage to take some of those actions, and they will also probably feel you were particularly lucky to be in the right place at the right time.  But what they will not realize is that you were simply taking delivery of the packages the Universe sent you in response to your invocation of the Law of Attraction.

Think back through some of the things that have happened in your life and I am sure you will see many examples of synchrondipity.  At the time you probably did not recognize them for what they were, but you did take advantage and you did gain useful results.

Recognize that synchrondipity is a real and powerful force, and train yourself to recognize it so you can take full advantage.  Listen to that small, still voice inside you, which some people call intuition, and you will see and be able to take more advantage of more and more synchrondipitous events.  Do this and you will be well placed to realize your dreams and achieve your goals.

Do you ever ask yourself,

“Is it really worth it?”


“What do ‘I’ want (and deserve)?”

These questions may be easy for you to ask, but… for some of us others, they can be a little painful.

We all hit a time or two (or 10) in our lives when we really have to sit down, get centred, and ask ourselves if what we’re doing in life is what we really want (and more importantly, what we really deserve).

Sometimes we just need to ask ourselves,

  • “Do I enjoy my life – day in and day out?”
  • “Am I happy with my job/career?”
  • “Am I making a difference?”

While it may be tough, asking these questions can be powerful, life changing, and even a bit scary.

Getting brutally honest with ourselves isn’t always easy — but what’s great, is it almost always leads to more self-discovery and pushing ourselves to higher levels.

This is a good thing 🙂

This is what allows us to grow.

This is what brings positive change to our lives.

So, if you find yourself asking these questions and you’re not happy with the answers, then I’ would like you to consider something…Contemplating what you are greatful for in your life will always rebalance your emotions

  • What if it’s time to make a change?
  • What if there IS something better waiting for you (right around the corner)?
  • What if you just need the right opportunity – at the right time?
  • What if…?

What I am referring to is something real. Something truly life-changing.

And… it’s certainly not for everyone.

But if you do choose to take the journey I’m going to tell you about, your life will be forever changed… for the better 🙂

  • Choosing to serve others!
  • Working every day to make someone else’s life better.
  • And in return, your life gets better, 10 fold.
  • What if you actually got paid to do this?
  • What if you got paid A LOT of money to do this (not that money is the main motivation, but it does help)?
  • What if this is exactly what you’ve been searching for? 
  • What if…?

If you had to put a value on your time, how much would it be?  How much are you worth per hour, per day, per month, per year?


Whatever you have written, I suggest you now multiply that by 10.  This new figure is probably a more accurate estimate of how much your time is really worth.  And that is simply what you should be valuing it at now, not what is could be in five or ten years’ time.

Some people reading this will immediately get it.  Something will shift inside them and they will know I am right.  If you are one of those people, then great!  Now go out and use this new realization!

But many will be mystified.  They will hang on to the figure they originally stated.  If you are one of those people, let me ask you another question.  Have you tried using the "Law of Attraction" and found it didn’t work for you?  Have you tried "manifesting" and found nothing you tried to manifest seemed to appear?  Let me tell you why.  You are grossly undervaluing yourself.  You are telling the Universe that you are only worth the figure you have just written down and do not deserve more than that – and the Universe is listening to you!

Many people will have written down the figure they earn as a "wage slave" – i.e. what their boss chooses to pay them.  Others who are self employed may have written down their average earnings, or perhaps if they are a little more optimistic they will have put something near the highest amount they have recently earned.  But these figures are not what you are worth.  They are not even close.  You are worth far more than this!  That is why I told you to multiply your stated figures by 10.  Even that is probably not the right figure, but it will be a lot closer!

Once you have done this exercise, how should you use it?  Well that will depend very much on your circumstances and on what you want to achieve.  In most cases it would probably not be a good idea to just march into the office of your boss and demand a tenfold increase in your salary!  Notice, though, I did say in most cases – in a few cases this might just be the impetus you need to branch out on your own, which is almost certainly what will have to happen if you demand such a large salary increase. You will never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice But simply being aware of your true worth (I mean the financial worth of your time, of course, as your real true worth cannot be measured in pounds or dollars) is a very good first step to creating greater wealth.  If you now start to use the "Law of Attraction" again you should find opportunities arise which result in more money coming your way.  Maybe not large sums initially, but Rome wasn’t built in a day!

Knowing your true financial worth, begin to dream.  And let your dreams reflect that new worth.  You will find, bit by bit, this will make a big difference in your life.  A bigger difference than you probably expected when you first began reading this article.

When you want to assume the position of “Advisor”in the minds of your prospects and clients, you actually have to act like an advisor. This means you do not blindly accept the premise they bring to you when they are looking to hire you.
Which premise is that?

The premise I’m talking about is the assumption that what they are asking you to do (the specific deliverable or service) will get them to where they want to go.
Now they might be right. They might know what they need. But they are not the expert in this area of things, you are. So that means you owe it to them to help them even figure out the right course of action to pursue. This can be done with training from a good advisor or training schools. Most service providers gloss over this. I think it’s because of fear. I know that’s why I did it for so long. When you’re trained in the "system" as well as I was (I had no idea that getting Straight A’s in school was simply proof of my willingness to submit to following orders), even the "confrontation" of asking your prospect why they think their intended course of action is the right one can make you nervous.

Ask, Believe, Receive – just three simple steps to create what you want. However, very often the second step, believe, can be the most difficult one. And yet it is the greatest step you will ever take. When you master believing, you have mastered your life.                                                                                                                                To master believing, all you have to do is tip the balance of your thoughts, words, and actions, from ‘not believing’ to believing. The ONLY thing that can ever get in the way of manifesting what you want, is having more thoughts of ‘not believing’, speaking more words of ‘not believing’, and taking more actions of ‘not believing’, than you are of believing. Base the majority of your thoughts, words, and actions in believing, and the law of attraction must obey you.

Believing contains no doubt. Believing does not waiver. Believing is absolute faith. Believing remains steadfast despite what is happening in the outside world.

This approach actually provides a MUCH higher level of service to your prospects and clients. And it keeps you out of the vendor box for good.
