Six powerful promises Mark & Angela Hack

PMA Added Only..

From The Secret Daily Teachings We can never bring anything to us unless we are grateful for what we have. In fact, if somebody was completely and utterly grateful for everything, they would never have to ask for anything, because it would be given to them before they even asked.

That is the power of Gratitude.

May the joy be with you,
Rhonda Byrne

Life is not all rainbows and butterflies.  It can be tough sometimes.  And you’ve paid a heavy price to get this far, so the best option is to really make it count by moving forward from where you are.  Free yourself from the world’s negativity – from the sources of ignorance telling you what you can and cannot do – by promising to look ahead, to live ahead, and to get ahead.  In other words, start making positive promises to yourself!
Promise to fight back, to fight harder, to laugh louder and longer and slap adversity back into its seat whenever it dares to stand against you.  Promise to be a force to be reckoned with – because you are a force to be reckoned with.
Make these promises to yourself, and keep them forever.
Repeat after me: “I promise…”

1.  “I will not hold the past against myself.” – Your problems, your weaknesses, setbacks, regrets and mistakes teach you if you’re willing to learn, or they will punish you if you’re not.   So let them teach you, every day.  Take everything as a lesson learned.  If you regret some of the decisions you have made in the past, stop being so hard on yourself.  At that time, you did your best with the knowledge you had.  At that time, you did your best with the experience you had.  Your decisions were made with a younger mind.  If you were to make these decisions with the wisdom you have today, you would choose differently.  So give yourself a break.  Time and experience has a wonderful way of helping us grow and learn to make better choices today, for ourselves and those we care for.

2.  “I will own my life and never deny responsibility for it.” – Through the grapevine, you may have learned that you should blame your parents, your teachers, your mentors, the education system, the government, etc., but never to blame yourself.  Right?  It’s never, ever your fault… WRONG!  It’s always your fault to a certain extent, because if you want to change, if you want to let go and move on with your life, you’re the only person who can make it happen.  It’s YOUR move to make.  It’s YOUR responsibility.  Own it! (
from the “Adversity” chapter of our book)

3.  “I will live a life that feels right to me, not one that looks right to everyone else.” – Give yourself permission to follow the path that makes YOU happy.  And realize that some people in your life will refuse to walk beside you as you embark on this journey; they simply won’t approve no matter what you say, and that’s OK.  Sometimes when you commit yourself to creating your own happiness, it clashes with the perceptions of others.  Sometimes when you gain something great, you have to let go of something else.  And sometimes this ‘something else’ is a relationship that only wants you to do what they want you to do.

4.  “I will let go of relationships that are obviously not meant to be.” – Most people come into your life temporarily simply to teach you something.  They come and they go and they make a difference.  And it’s OK that they’re not in your life anymore.  Not all relationships last, but the lessons these relationships bring to you do.  If you learn to open your heart and mind, anyone, including the folks who eventually drive you mad, can teach you something worthwhile.  Sometimes it will feel weird when you realize you spent so much time with someone you are no longer connected to, but that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.  You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.  We all are. (from the “Relationships” chapter of our book)

5.  “I will not let any situation permanently steal my smile.” – Even when times are tough, take a moment to pause and remember who YOU are.  Take a moment to reflect on the things that have real and lasting meaning in your life.  And then smile about how far you’ve come.  Honestly, nothing in this world is more beautiful and powerful than a smile that has struggled through the tears.  Any fool can be happy when times are easy.  It takes a strong soul with real heart to develop smiles out of situations that make us weep.  No matter how long it takes, it will get better.  Keep going.  Tough situations build strong people in the end.

6.  “I will keep stretching myself beyond my previous level of comfort.” – Just because you’re struggling doesn’t mean you’re failing.  Every great success requires some type of worthy struggle to get there.  Know this!  When you’re struggling, that’s when you’re growing stronger and smarter.  The more time you spend there, the faster you learn.  It’s better to spend an extremely high quality ten minutes growing, than it is to spend a mediocre hour running in place.  Every day, you want to practice at the point where you are on the edge of your ability, stretching yourself over and over again, making mistakes, stumbling, learning from those mistakes and stretching yourself even farther. (
from the “Goals and Success” chapter of our book)
And of course, if you’re struggling with any of these points, know that you are not alone. Many of us are right there with you, working hard to feel better, think more clearly, and live a life free of headaches and heartache. This is precisely why Marc and I wrote our book, “1,000 Little Things Happy Successful People Do Differently.” The book is filled with short, concise tips on how to do just that. And believe it or not, I’m currently in the process of re-visiting and re-reading some of our own material this month, just to centre my mind on these positive principles and keep myself on the right track. If you’re interested in following along with me and making positive changes in your life this Spring, or if you simply want to read (or listen) our book at your leisure.

“You are one of a kind and perfection all on your own. To know your sustenance is to know you are expanding now, always, in all ways, always and ever!” – Meichelle McClellan

If I could share 500 words of wisdom to summarize what I’ve learned so far in life, these are the important things I’d want to pass along to others…

Like pursuing a career in the arts, building a small business is both incredibly rewarding and utterly terrifying. There are no next pay checks, severance packages, or safety nets for those of us who choose to go at it in the world of art or entrepreneurship. Everything is uncertain.

At the end of the day, I wouldn’t trade this uncertainty for anything—the lessons I’ve picked up coping with it have helped me become a more peaceful and adaptable person in every sphere of my life. Whether you are working on an artist commune, on Wall Street, or anywhere in between, these tips can help you enrich your life and improve your performance where it counts.

First, live in peace with what you cannot change. I learned early on in my career that, according to some people, jewellery is not essential for life. Who knew! What this means is that when the economy stinks (and it certainly has had its low points over the last few decades!), our business suffers badly.

I used to go into a total panic every time the wave of a recession would affect us. I would do everything I could to turn the tide and perk things up again. Turns out one lone designer can’t fix the economy.

Over time, I’ve learned to ride the wave, rather than fighting it. Rolling with the punches—it’s amazing how much more you can do and how much happier you can be when you adapt rather than combat. Sure, slow business is a drag. At the end of the day, though, the economy goes up and the economy goes down–and so does life.

Instead of freaking out about something I can’t change, I’ve learned to use slower periods as times for revaluating, readjusting, and preparing to have the best ready for when things pick up again.

On that note, you have to keep reinventing yourself. In business and in art, I think that this is fairly clear. You won’t get anywhere if you don’t innovate. But what about in life? I think that reinvention is highly underrated. Reinvention isn’t about throwing everything away and starting from scratch. Reinvention is about constantly changing your approach to all aspects of your life so that when the time comes to sit down and take stock, you realize you’ve grown noticeably and significantly.

You have to change your approach constantly to keep making room for improvement! It keeps life fresh and gives you a chance to think critically about what parts of your life and your career are working and what parts can be improved.

Finally, embrace your successes. Be proud of your successes. Own up to your successes. Learn from your successes. But then go back and do the same for your failures. They are so important in helping you grow and flourish, in showing you the path to the life you want, and in having a few great stories to pass along to the kids.

For every smash hit success I’ve had, I had several that fell flat. At the end of the day, eliminating what didn’t work helped me find who I was. So, do not be embarrassed of failure. Do not hide it. Do not blow it out or proportion. Or minimize it, either. We all experience it. We all learn from it. At the end of the day, it makes us who we are.

Life is the sum of all our choices.. or is it.

This is something I am very interested in, it is  personal  to me and f rom the heart, it should be to you.    I have had this on my mind for a very long time, presently struggling with injuries from being a war veteran,

I NEVER EVER GIVE UP  Neither should you!!

Life is the sum of all our choices..albert Camus

Find a purpose in life so big it will challenge every capacity to be at your best

If you are going through “HELL” keep going…

or if you prefer

If you are going through HELL do not stop….

Faith is what makes life bearable with all its tragedies

why? I hope you are you asking…

Consider your life and where you are now.  No matter what life throws at you are you a quitter? or a believer?  I go through hell often and since a child I have had to work hard, but it is worth it to yourself for the most part..

If you decide to stop what are you doing?  “Giving up” is the correct wording, I had a rough life as a child being the eldest of 6 boys, may years ago BUT I believed in myself from around the age of 10 as I had to grow up very quickly, my mother dies early and I was in charge of the family.. Now think hard before you complain about your life and what it has or has not done to or for you..  there are others in situations you could not believe in, they do not all  give in many work hard to be better… AND some become leaders!!

The world owes you everything and nothing, it is up to you what you become, from this day forth.

We can all be sorry for ourselves and our lives from the past and present but it is up to use how and what we become, no matter who brought you into this world the decision is yours!  Make your parents  and your own family happy show them you can be better and helping others is paramount.  Be grateful for who you are where you are from and where you are going!  you will be blessed, loved and have the ability to inspire  others,, worse of than yourself.  they will think more like you as a teacher supporter  and guide to others, for ever!

Have faith believe in yourselves.  Attitude is everything no one can give it to you it is something you have to decide on.  Be an inspiration to others and grow in faith and self belief, be the winner you know you can be

Your life deos not get better by chance but by change

Success and failure comes in pairs. Either you have a pair of Aces called “Resolve & Undenied” or a pair of jokers called “Wishing & Wanting You’re hand to play

“The past has one good thing about it; you can learn from it and not make those mistakes again”

“Living in the past is like living in a coffin; it’s totally constraining and ends up being a lid on your growth”

Life is like an apple, what you do with the core when it is all said and done speaks volumes

Motivation is said to be an inside job, actually it is an inside career for very successful people

I hope you now listen learn and improve as I have done and still doing so even at my tender age of 69.  I wish you all well from this day forth.  Love to all readers, where ever you may be..Gray

6 Ways to Keep Life in Perspective

IfAkram Alashari I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

Here are the top six pieces of advice that can increase the quality of life and easily keep it in perspective:

1) Nothing in life has any inherent meaning; it only has the meaning you assign to it. Shakespeare once said, “There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

You can actively change the meaning of any circumstance in your life to one that empowers you. The way to do that is by asking empowering questions. These questions will lead to empowering answers. Here are a few examples:

  • What is good about this?
  • What is funny about this?
  • How is this making me stronger or smarter?
  • How can this help me and others?

2) We become what we think about. By the law of cause and effect, what we think about in our lives, we bring about in our lives. This occurs whether we are consciously aware of our thoughts or not. This works because our thoughts are a cause set in motion. These thoughts will attract things in our lives that will allow these thoughts to manifest in physical reality. This is the basis of self-actualization. So be careful what you think about.

3) Conformity is the killer of creativity and individuality. There is nobody on the planet that is quite like you. There is also nobody who has ever lived, nor anybody who will ever live, that will be exactly like you. You are literally one-of-a-kind. You are unique.

Trying to be like anybody else, or a group of people, is an exercise in futility. Not only is it futile, but it is detrimental. The one thing you have is your individuality. Embrace it and capitalize on your personal strengths.

When the majority of people are doing something a certain way, it does not mean that it is the best way. It means that it is the average way. Strive to be excellent, not average.

4) A sense of gratitude can immediately increase your quality of life. Thinking about and being grateful for the things you have increases joy, happiness, and overall outlook on life. What you focus on expands and when you focus on what you have, you bring more of it into your life. This also cultivates an attitude of a sense of abundance. When you focus on what’s missing, you cultivate pessimism, cynicism, and quality of life goes down. This leads to a sense of scarcity and negativity.

5) Most people regret the things they didn’t do, not the things they did do. Your life is singular and finite. Take chances and enjoy life. You only live once. Make this one-time experience great, fun, exciting, and full of joy and happiness.

6) Focus on the things you can control, and do not focus on the things you cannot control. Allowing things that you cannot control to upset you will set you up for frustration and decrease your quality of life. There is absolutely no point in getting upset about things such as the weather, traffic, and other people.

Instead, focus on things you can control, and you give yourself more power and leverage to affect your life. The one thing that you can always control is your attitude.

You often cannot control your circumstances, but you can control how you decide to respond to your life circumstances.

"Don’t be hard on yourself. You’re trying to get better every day. The smallest effort counts." – Unknown

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." Eleanor Roosevelt

Take a look at your life and be grateful

”Today is a brand new day. A fresh start. Replace any negativity with positivity. Think happy thoughts. Exercise. Drink lots of water. Fill your body with fuel. Healthy is happy. Inspire yourself. Create. Laugh. Play. Love. Learn. Give someone a compliment. Make a new friend. Do a random act of kindness. It creates good karma. Take chances and finally start living life to its fullest. But no matter what’s thrown at you today, smile and remember, tomorrow’s always a fresh new start.” – Unknown

Over the course of my – your and anyone’s  lifetime there will have been many dark moments – moments of trauma, drama, tragedy and un-clarity. In the depths of the dark night of the soul experiences that sometimes can seem to last for several years; One can find themselves, again and again on ones knees in some way reaching out for support, guidance and a way home to peace and harmony.  Does this sound like you or anyone you know?

In my own personal life I have been advised to stay focused on the journey, admittedly I give myself these thoughts and A year from now you would wish you had started todaycomments as a youngster many years ago it was rare for anyone to be positive!! (how times change), as a child I was the oldest of 6 boys, anything they did wrong it was my fault…that’s that on the subject!!   It is more about the journey and not the destination. I have been “Self encouraging” to focus on what’s good in the moment, difficult or not the truth is that there are moments where it’s a mighty task to focus on the good!  I am not alone here am I?   I can and will feel better as many people are worse off than myself.

A positive mental attitude is an irresistible force that knows no such thing as an immovable body.
Time and again we hear stories about ordinary people who do seemingly impossible things when they find themselves in an emergency situation. They perform Herculean feats of strength and endurance, things they never dreamed they were capable of doing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could harness that strength and make it available anytime you need it? You can — if you believe you can. No doubt you can remember a time in your life when you were exceptionally focused on your objective, a time when you achieved more in less time than ever before. Perhaps it was an impending vacation that motivated you to get everything done before you departed, or perhaps it was a “must pass” exam that helped you focus your concentration. The intensity that you developed in those situations is always available to you when you have a Positive Mental Attitude. – Napoleon Hill

I have read a lot of “Positive Mental Attitude” books through my busy life giving me the guidance needed to invoke the vision, strength or dreams of where I am going and what I want to be or do! Focus on your attention and intentions on what you are creating and continue to work towards that goal with the understanding that whatever is happening in the moment; it is going to be a wonderful fantastic positive feeling for the manifestation of that ultimate destiny.

Giving opens up the door to receiving. You have so many opportunities to give every day.                                                         Give kind words. Give a smile. Give appreciation and love. Give compliments. You can give courtesy to other motorists while you are driving. You can give a smile to the car parking attendant. You can give a warm greeting to the newspaper stand person or the person who makes your coffee. You can give by allowing a stranger to go ahead of you into an elevator, and you can give by asking which floor they are going to and pressing the button for them. If someone drops something you can give a helping hand and pick it up for them. You can give warm embraces to those you love. And you can give appreciation and encouragement to everyone. There are so many opportunities for you to give and thereby open the door to receiving.  May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

I want to encourage you instead to focus on “BOTH” the Journey “and” the Destiny.  The Journey for anyone not just me is the place where we are receiving in the present moment all the information, guidance, gifts, blessings, experiences, lessons, and moments that make up the book of our life.

The Destiny of course is the end game – the life “well Lived”  Faith is what makes life bearable with all its tragediesthe dreams manifested, the visions achieved. A life well lived is one where you have surrendered to being made love to by life itself – those tender moments of pleasure, those sharp piercing moments of pain, culminating in a climactic orgasmic experience that brings us to a state of pure bliss and unification with the Divine.

”The moment you’re ready to quit is usually the moment right before the miracle happens. Don’t give up!”

Remember to breathe in the beauty, invoke your vision in those moments when it seems all is lost – that dream destination provides the motivation to keep moving forward through the darkest of days.   “SMILE

Remember to harvest the golden nuggets of wisdom and truth from those challenging experiences on the journey.

Remember to see each day at least one thing you can be grateful for – even if it’s just that you are breathing.

Remember to create time and space for yourself to disengage, Carry out a random act of kindness with no expectation of rewardnotice and allow whatever is to be as it is and to examine what it is that YOU really want and how you want to spend your life force.   Always Always be thankful and grateful no matter what as you have no idea how the person is walking past you at the time.

Remember to look for the angels who will come along your path at the most unusual of moments to support, love and assist you when you least expect it and acknowledge and recognize their loving ministrations with gratitude.

Connecting with people is an incredible skill as you connect first in their world because that is where they live their lives and where their interests and values lie

Remember to share your gifts with others and be an angel for those who are not quite as far along on the journey as you are. I feel this is more important than myself, one can gain everything by helping others achieve their aims goals or targets no matter who what or when!!

You never know when one kind act can change a person for everRemember to love life and let life make love to you – it’s an orgasmic experience if only you will truly surrender to it!  Loving life will be seen by others it is a gift to involuntarily passing on those feelings unknowingly..  it is also called “The power to change another persons life”

Enjoy the Journey the Destination, most of all be Grateful..

Your Vision of the future lies from within
