Supporting local Charities that survive on donations not the government

Change in a country begins with one person. Each country reflects the inner peace or turmoil of its mass population, and so as one person changes they affect the rest of the population. One person has the power within them to bring massive change to their country through immense love and peace within themselves. But we cannot bring about peace and well-being to our country unless we have conquered that in our own life. Do you see? You cannot give what you do not have.

Each person’s job is to bring utter harmony into their own life, and then they will become the greatest human gift for their country and the world.

I put my heart out to those who work for nothing in aid of helping those in need.  One such business I am now hoping to help is one of 43 and they are the MS (multiple sclerosis ) centers of the uk.   I found out about them via a lady who put a message out on what was called  “Street Life” a local community site now called “Next door” from the USA. For advice or contacts from those who join seeking some support or a business one has used and willing to let others know.  I went to support a musical event to help raise money by donations or by offerings, leaving financial support when they pass on to those in need.  This gives one personal fulfilment with a positive attitude for life and helping others less fortunate with the power to change someones life. The contacts, if you feel you can help are:

The majority of good people work for nothing offering support for those in need even some staff are sufferers of MS and are proud to help those worse of.  It is a great place and needs support, I have made contact with those in charge of the the famous “RED NOSE DAY EVENTS”   asking for support of the more local businesses in need of help, as the government do not feel they should  help!  they mainly support those in need over seas.  I admit that is as important but looking  after our own is just as important.  Thank you for reading this message sent form the heart as Gratitude makes a person!  Gray

How to Embrace the Holy Mess Of Your Life

Mary O'MalleyI have had a plaque on my fireplace for a long time by artist Kelly Rae Roberts which says, “Kindness Changes Everything”. A friend of mine recently sent me another one of Kelly Rae’s inspirational quotes, “Embrace the imperfections, the chaos, the HOLY MESS of your BEAUTIFUL life”.  I love both of these sayings because they are all about the heart. While most people try to get rid of the uncomfortable stuff in their lives, true healing is about allowing our imperfections and chaos to float into our hearts. How do we do this? By embracing it all with kindness.

Holy Mess Kelly Rae RobertsCarl Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist, was one of the first people who said a human being is a community. Within this community, we have parts that we like, and then we have the parts we don’t like. The parts we don’t like I call spells, such as fear, despair, anger, sadness, and grief. And in our community, the unlikable parts are at war with one another or we are at war with them. We try to hold onto the parts we think are okay, and push away the parts we don’t like. And this is true suffering. Let’s say you don’t like a body part, such as your thumb.  Maybe you don’t like the size or shape of your thumb. Would cutting it off make you happier? Of course not, and you certainly would be able to do a lot less. This is what we do in life. We cut this out and that out, trying to get to a better state, but it is an endless game.

True healing is about turning toward and making space for whatever is showing up in our lives. It is about befriending, keeping company with, allowing, honouring, respecting, acknowledging, and developing a relationship with all of these parts we don’t like or what Kelly Rae calls “the holy mess.” It is about noticing what is here right now when the mind goes into its struggle mode and tightens our bodies.

When this happens to me, I touch it with my heart by first asking, “Okay, what is it that you don’t want to explore in this moment?” and then I say to the scared one inside of me, “Oh this is what life is offering. This is what is passing through right now. No need to push it away, you belong here.”

I have a new mantra that helps me bring kindness into my heart, “Striving…Arriving.” I say “Striving” on the in-breath and then on a long, slow, out-breath, I say “Arriving.” Striving is the mind that is busy liking, disliking, and turning life into a problem. It has spent its whole life trying to manage this and that, and it is always fixing, changing, or rearranging everything it doesn’t like. I don’t judge this busy mind or try to make it bad or wrong for striving because this is what it learned to do when it was very young. We have given our minds a task that it was never meant to do, and that is, being in charge of life. But, the mind is not in charge. Life is in charge of Life and what it is offering is trustable (but not always likable). Most people don’t truly experience Life because they are too busy trying to control it.

The second part of the mantra, “Arriving,” is about being open to life. Arriving is what we long for. How do we arrive? By getting to know the fear-based mind and by showing it kindness and compassion. My practice of “Arriving” is about acknowledging the waves of sadness, grief, pain and anger that are passing through. I do this by talking to my scared one, or rubbing my heart, or just acknowledging that my scared one is here by saying, “I see you.” By giving her the attention and love she so desperately needs, I have fallen more in love with this crazy, neurotic, easily-overwhelmed, separate mess of a self than I ever have been.  When I touch her with my heart, she just lets go and relaxes back into life.

What would happen if, when your mind gets activated and your body is tight, you really knew that it is safe to let go into the process?  The next time you feel this way, make some time to become quiet and start to get to know your sacred mess, your beautiful mess, your holy mess. Do it all with kindness. Then, let go and let life. Notice how you feel afterward.

School of HP: If it is Love it will Succeed…

Allen VaysbergAll my life I believed in something greater. In searching for the meaning of my existence, I noticed certain trends and patterns in life that were woven in. Only later I understood what I had an inkling of before and the Law of Attraction and Universal principles were revealed.

I realized that I wasn’t the only one searching and that there were many disciplines that attempted to comprehend the Universe as well as our place in it. I explored many spiritual practices diving deeper into certain ones. There are many out there such as Astrology, Numerology, Palmistry, Iridology, Past Life Regression, Face reading, Toe reading, Feng Shui, and a great deal more I haven’t mentioned. All of them pull the curtains back and allow us to witness the grand plan and the beauty of the world we all live in. I believe that all of them are wonderful and useful but something within realized that not one of them is perfect and provides the whole truth.

To that point, I am reminded of a fable of the mirror of truth…. long time ago there was a mirror of truth and then it was broken into millions of pieces and spread across the worlds by the great winds. Every once in a while, someone finds a piece, looks into it and proclaims that they see truth, when in fact they only see a piece of it. And that is how I look at all of aforementioned disciplines – they are not the absolute but rather a part of the larger puzzle. Thus, as much as I followed certain principles I was never fully immersed by them. Which brings us to School of Human Potential and this week with a bit of background.

What_you_believeThe idea of the school came to me in 2009 as I was trying to find a way to help modern people become well-rounded individuals. Not until end of 2012 did I put that idea into motion. Of important note is when I say the idea came to me I mean in a manner that some would call “Divine Inspiration” and others refer to as “Guidance” or “Channelling”.  I have been blessed to have that channel of communication open since information started pouring out of me in writing poetry as a child. Thus a “channelled state” is something that is natural and I get “ideas” or “knowing” all the time which has helped me in every facet of my life. Therefore, at the end of 2013, I established the domain, FB and Twitter profiles, started on the logos, web design, trademarks and the setup of the business.  Everyone I spoke with loved the logo, idea for the company, etc.

My last two successful business ventures were opened with a certain numerological philosophy in mind. I had vetted the name of the enterprise as well as the start date with the people that subscribe to that philosophy because I partially believed in its merits and decided that it wouldn’t hurt. With School of Human Potential I forgot!  I was so inspired to bring it to the world that the thought really hadn’t crossed my mind until much later in the process of actually incorporating.

Thus in a hurry to get a consensus opinion I reached out to a person suggested by those I trust who subscribes to a specific Astrology wing who came back with a recommended date. And the next day I reached out to the numerology people to do the same. Upon speaking with the person who helped my last two businesses with the name and timing I was told in very harsh terms that School of Human Potential is a terrible name, would never succeed and the date of incorporation I was planning on (suggested by the trusted expert on Astrology) is just as ill-guided as the name itself. Putting aside the presentation of that information and the tone with which it was presented, I sustained a direct hit. Here is my baby, my divinely inspired idea to help the world that is about to be launched, just received a horrific diagnosis.

I found myself in a state of confused aggression and had to do calming meditation just to raise my vibrations, release the diagnosis and the negativity. I turned to others to see if I was making a mistake and tried to get more overwhelming consensus from third parties of my being right and the numerology being wrong or not applicable. A wonderful psychic friend of mine said I will succeed. My beautiful, supportive and highly analytical wife had me walk through an exercise of how much I believe numerology actually would affect the success of the venture. I decided last night all was going to work out well and went to sleep, only to awake in the same confused state this morning.

“Needing” more help, I attempted to reach out to my psychic friends and ask them for advice. Oddly enough, nobody was readily available (which is a Universal sign that “you are not supposed to ask them”). Furthermore, when I saw my friend and mentor Lisa Williams online and was about to ask her the question, I heard her voice in my head saying “Ask your guides”.  I laughed and took that as an indication that I need to meditate. Thus I decided to drive my daughter to her practice, come home and seek the guidance.

While getting dressed and trying to eat my daughter said she has 3 questions for me.  Rushing to get her on time to her practice I told her to wait until we get into the car, to which she replied that she would forget the questions…In the car, she asked the first question and when I asked what was that second and the third, she said she forgot and proceeded to tell me that she was right in saying she would forget.  That proved to be a wonderful opportunity for me to help my 9 year old with how things work in the Universe.  I began with a quote, “If you believe you will succeed – you will, if you believe you will fail – you have.”  I asked her what it means and we had a nice conversation during which I explained how the mind-set is paramount. Three minutes into my “lecture”, I had a sudden realization that the talk was as much for me as it was for her and it was my guides answering my question. I stopped mid-stream and laughed.

My guides didn’t need for me to sit in meditation to get the answer, they spoke through me in such a gentle way I almost didn’t notice.  Once I did, they proceeded to quote me from my own poem (which they helped me write years ago) – “…if it is Love, it will Succeed…”  I had a vision of Neo stopping bullets in Matrix and reprogramming the code and had a knowing that there are bigger things at play and a new paradigm is upon us. All internal conflicts vanished and I felt inspired and at peace. Regardless of the numerological balance of the name, I have the power to make it a success because it is something I truly believe in, it was born in love, and it carries the energy of helping people!

Cheer up. Be happy. Find the silver lining. Smile.
If you didn’t know any better, you might say we’re a country that preaches optimism. But some 30 to 35 percent of Americans employ a calculated form of negative thinking—called defensive pessimism—that can lead to very positive results, according to Julie K. Norem, PhD, a professor of psychology at Wellesley College.

We’re not talking about a general disposition to see the glass half-empty: "Defensive pessimism is a strategy used in specific situations to manage anxiety, fear, and worry," says Norem, who has conducted seminal research on the subject. "Defensive pessimists," she says, "prepare for a situation by setting low expectations for themselves, then follow up with a very detailed assessment of everything that may go wrong." Once they’ve imagined the full range of bad outcomes, they start figuring out how they’ll handle them, and that gives them a sense of control.

"What’s intriguing about defensive pessimists," adds Lawrence Sanna, PhD, a professor of psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who has also studied the phenomenon, "is that they tend to be very successful people, and so their low opinion of the outcome isn’t realistic; they use it to motivate themselves to perform better." For example, an executive is getting ready to pitch a project, and she thinks beforehand, "The client is going to be really difficult; he’s not going to like my proposal. I have to make sure I explain things very clearly." "She uses defensive pessimism as a tool to work through all the possibilities so she’s prepared for everything, even failure," Sanna says. "And if she does fail, she’s ready for it, so it’s not so catastrophic."

If all this sounds familiar (

take the quiz to see if you use defensive pessimism), a piece of advice from the experts may give you a lift: Don’t listen to appeals from friends or family to look on the bright side. "Research shows that if you pressure defensive pessimists into being optimistic, or try to manipulate their mood, their performance deteriorates," says Andrew J. Elliot, PhD, professor of psychology at the University of Rochester. One of the most frequent comments Norem got after publishing The Positive Power of Negative Thinking in 2001 was "Thank you. I can finally tell my mother to shut up."
