The Truth about being a Networking Boss

No one is capable of giving direction unless he or she knows how to take directions and carry them out.
An essential quality of leadership is developing the ability to persuade others to align their goals with yours and those of the organization. Until you, yourself, are able to join forces with others in the pursuit of a common objective, you will never persuade them to join your cause. Effective leaders recognize the value of working together, and they learn how to follow directions before being entrusted with the responsibility for the performance of others. Good leaders show by example how they expect others to behave. Even though the troops may be trained to follow orders unquestioningly, the officer always leads them into battle. You cannot push others to follow your example; you must pull them along with you. When you show by your every word and deed that you are a person of character, one who works for the greater good of the entire organization, your people will follow.    Napoleon Hill

You are no one’s Boss and never will be – despite what your title says.

"My new distributor…"    "My team…"    "You’re under me…"
How often do I hear and read these phrases? A lot.  More often than not, they’re used out of naiveté rather than with any intent to make the up line feel superior or the down line feel inferior.  But we’ve got to be constantly aware of what comes out of our mouths.

We’re offering people the chance to break free of the 40-hour (and more!) work week chains of working for someone else, yet using language like this can very quickly make our team members feel like they’ve swapped, or are in the process of swapping, one boss for another.

On that note, we cannot force any of our team members to work harder either – they’re a ‘volunteer army’ and are free to do as little or as much as they want, to fit around their own unique lifestyle, and in line with what THEY want from their business.

The Science of Getting Rich

Remember this, and never take money from anyone without giving more in use value than the money you are receiving. In people’s lives, this is one of the main causes of lack of money, unsuccessful job experiences, and failed businesses. Give more value than the money you are receiving; in your job, in your business, and in every part of your life.              May the joy be with you, The Secret Rhonda Byrne

Now, don’t get me wrong, if someone’s activity is not congruent with the goals they have set themselves, then we need to bring this to their attention and some course-correcting needs doing, but ultimately we have to firstly be GRATEFUL that they’re part of our team, and secondly RESPECT the level they want to work at.

Be the type of person you wan't to meetLeadership in network marketing is a lot more subtle and refinedTeam Work than management is in ‘traditional’ business where the carrot and stick approach can be employed to move people in the direction management wish.  More often than not, it’s the tools we have at our disposal (events and the power of association building belief and enthusiasm which can lead to increased activity) that are far more effective at helping to increase a team members activity level than simply asking or telling them to do it.

A positive mental attitude is an irresistible force that knows no such thing as an immovable body.
Time and again we hear stories about ordinary people who do seemingly impossible things when they find themselves in an emergency situation. They perform herculean feats of strength and endurance, things they never dreamed they were capable of doing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could harness that strength and make it available anytime you need it? You can — if you believe you can. No doubt you can remember a time in your life when you were exceptionally focused on your objective, a time when you achieved more in less time than ever before. Perhaps it was an impending vacation that motivated you to get everything done before you departed, or perhaps it was a “must pass” exam that helped you focus your concentration. The intensity that you developed in those situations is always available to you when you have a Positive Mental Attitude.   Napoleon Hill

Do not worry at all about negative thoughts, and do not try to control them. All you have to do is begin to think good thoughts each day. Plant as many good thoughts as you can in each day. As you begin to think good thoughts you will attract more and more good thoughts, and eventually the good thoughts will wipe out the negative thoughts altogether.

I am not what happend to me I am what I chose to become Introduction and Lesson 1.

Rejection, Objections and  What Causes them

Do You Make This Mistake When Talking With Potential Clients Or Partners?

The intention and objective of this course to help you to discover 2 things;

1. Why conventional sales thinking, techniques and systems;

* Are ineffective for most Network Marketers and Direct Sales People

* Actually cause the objections and rejection Network Marketers would prefer not to have.

* Is the reason for the high team and customer attrition rate.

2. How you can do something different or reverse this if you’re already using techniques and achieve the results for you and your team by adopting a different approach called the Natural Selling Approach.

There are 7 lessons over the coming weeks, you will receive a lesson and also some short exercises to illustrate the lesson. You’re encouraged you to complete those exercises. They will help you "absorb and understand" the ideas and concepts that are written here.

Negative emotions are like unwelcome guestsLesson #1

The Way You Think and Communicate Will Determine The Way People Respond To You

Ask yourself this. What is the greatest fear you might have that could hold you back from talking with people about your income opportunity or products?

If you are like most it will be the fear of rejection and objections and the anxiety that comes with that.

Two Types of Rejection

There are two types of rejection;

1. The flat in your face "Not interested" or "You must be joking" type of rejection; and

2. The type where someone has looked at your solution and finds it doesn’t really fit what they need.

The second one can be disappointing but it doesn’t necessarily feel personal. So this training program is about item 1 and understanding the cause of rejection and how to eliminate it by getting rid of the cause and replacing it with something entirely different.

The Cause of Rejection

Have you considered that if you do have feelings of anxiety about talking with people about your Income Opportunity and/or Products…it could be the way you have chosen to communicate, or think you have to communicate, that is causing this?

Life is full of choices and what you choose to think, say or do, will reflect how other people will think, say or do in response to you.

Let’s start by exploring closely the underlying causes of rejection and objections.

This is a better approach than just launching off by telling you what you should do. If we did this, then would you agree that this training approach would not be any different than all the standard ones that tell you what to do using techniques and systems without any explanation as to why?

Besides, if you understand the cause of a problem first, you’re now in a better position to think and do something different that will eliminate it.

2 key things to grasp:

What you do right now will have accumulated an effect on tomorrow1. People do things for their reasons not yours. They are motivated by their personal interest and own subjective reasons.

You may have heard this referred to as the "What’s In It For Me?"  syndrome

2. Most people resist being "told" what to do (even if they ask you!) or being persuaded to do things, and generally like to learn and understand before taking action on changing anything.

So it’s important when you hear someone express a problem or need, want or desire, such as a need for money or good health, that you’re not tempted to launch in with a "fire hose"

presentation before talking about and discovering why they want it and the history behind how they came to be in these situations.

There is no such thing as a "one size fits all" presentation that basically "tells" a person what our solutions are and what they can do for them.

We are all unique in how we see, hear and feel about things. If you take the one size fits all view, (usually your view) then rejection and objections is usually the natural consequence of that.

The truth is, it doesn’t matter much what you think about your solutions and whether they are going to work for someone. What’s important is what the other person thinks.

So if you start your conversations by overpowering people and coming up with your solutions too early, most people will withdraw. Then you have to resort to using conventional selling techniques of objection handling, closing and mental strategies to overcome the rejection you created in the first place! It also makes selling a "numbers game" of ploughing through as many people as you can that requires a great deal of effort and time.

People suffer because they are caught in their views release them and suffer no moreSo it’s important to help people surface what they know and don’t know and what they want by allowing them to come to their own conclusions.

Observe your own experiences. Have you ever been in a situation where you asked someone for a solution to a problem and they started with the words, "You know what you should do…?" Did you feel resentful or annoyed, even though you asked for help?

If you did, it’s probably because you didn’t feel involved and your own uniqueness and knowledge was not being acknowledged.

It’s the same for most people.

People like to do things for their reasons not yours!

The Natural Law of Giving

The Law of Giving works like this. What you give is what you get.

Other people’s actions and words are a reflection of your actions and words.

It’s like a smile. If you smile at someone they will usually smile back.

This is the Law of Giving working for you.

The key to using the Law of Attraction is within your four powers: Your thoughts, emotions, visualizations and actions." Frank Mangano

However, this natural law can work against you if you put pressure on others by telling, presenting or persuading people to do things you want them to do. Result? Most people will tell you back! How? By one or more of three

ways:

1. Rejection

2. Objections

3. Passive Aggression. (When people say they will do something and don’t!) This is also called "Buyers Remorse".

In selling, if you want the Law of Giving to work for you and have people listen to you and your solutions, then listen with the intent to understand them first.

Lesson two is looking at how you can do this and build your team and customers with effortless ease based on solid principles and methods that work… all the time!

Exercises

1. Reflect on how you feel when a salesperson, charity solicitor or telemarketer tries to get you to do something.

2. Think about your reaction when you see an advertisement on TV or in print. If you paid attention to it, why is that?

Doing these exercises will help you understand and use the material in the following lessons.

The Power That Can Protect Your Dreams

David_NeagleIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

I just had a great conversation with a friend who was telling me about some business associates who have had a complete turn around on their dream. A few months ago, they were enthusiastic and on fire for their future. Unfortunately, they didn’t keep their mental doors locked… and something negative slipped in, and they dropped the pursuit of their dream.

All failure begins this way.

People may have high hopes, but when their perceived circumstances suggest a lesser outcome is more likely (perhaps via an unexpected obstacle), this perceived discrepancy becomes the initial seed of failure.

Ultimately, it’s up to each of us to choose how we will live our lives, hold ourselves to high standards, and continually evaluate what’s inside the image we see in the mirror.– Eric Harvey

Being unaware of how this process destroys the dreams of countless people, they fall victim to its seduction.

Take a look at what happens and how this process works:

  1. We all have two parts in our thinking: One is our dream or goal, and the second is the belief that it might not ever happen. This is where most people start out.
  2. Next, something begins to spark or inspire a person to take action on their dream. (Yet, not having a full understanding of the Laws of Success, they are actually moving in the direction of their dream with a great deal of ignorance. Ignorance is not necessarily a bad thing, as long as a person stays open to what he/she must learn along the way. The problem is many individuals are not open to growth and change.)
  3. Their subconscious manifests an obstacle to keep them from experiencing anything “new”. This new challenge is perceived as a point of failure.

It is at this point in a person’s journey where moving forward becomes too painful or fearful, and a person usually chooses to stay “safe”. The truth, however, is that this is also the point where moving forward would allow a person to see the bigger win they are hoping for!

You see, YOUR beliefs control your perception of everything in your world, which in turn creates your reality. If you want to change your reality, you must use new information to change your beliefs AND your perception. Until you see things differently, you will continue to makes choices that keep you where you are. And eventually, you will give up on your dreams.

Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.– Jack Welch

In other words, your experiences reflect your belief system. This means that if there is anything in your life you don’t want to experience all you need to do to change “it” is to change the belief that caused “it” in the first place!

In theory, it’s really simple… but in practice, many people find it difficult because they really don’t understand all beliefs are nothing but illusions anyway. But these illusions are so strong people think that they are real when actually they are not.

The power of belief is astounding. I encourage you to study its mysteries for yourself and see what changes you truly do have the power to make.

Successful Networker Who or What is Chased

“We cannot get what we’ve never had, unless we’re willing to do what we’ve never done.”—Brian Tracy

The question:
"So how does one become chased?"
The answer is to become someone worthy of being chased. To have something people deem worthy of pursuit.

People are attracted to someone who IS somebody, who’s DOING things, who’s GOING places.   If you go places  or not if you travel or not,  If you do not go out or travel look else where here to concentrate on.  Doing things and BEING someone that stands for something.   So how do you do that? You reverse engineer it. You start with who you are trying to serve and work backwards to you.

“You get the best efforts from others not by lighting a fire beneath them, but by building a fire within.” –Bob Nelson

Smiling Group of Professionals --- Image by © Royalty-Free/CorbisObviously, you can’t do any of this work disconnected from the WHO you are trying to attract. That’s where ALL of your answers are hiding. So if you’re not even clear on your target client, that’s step 1. You can’t do the rest of this if you have no idea who you are trying to appeal to.
Who do you want to help?
Once you’ve got your target (i.e. cosmetic dentists), then you start from there and work backwards.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are." – John Wooden

To start may I suggest as the first thing is to build your platform. That’s some Social Media coloured groupsort of publication that connects you with this target market; this could be businesses or residential. The reason you start there is because, frankly, no one KNOWS the right things for you to do. But the Platform can bring those answers to you. It buys you time, it produces clues (in the form of feedback) and it gives you a mechanism that can actually build MOMENTUM in your client attraction.   Feed back comes from support guidance and knowledge of who you are seeking or type of business…..

Most people want to have a Platform, fewer people want to build one. This is the difference between a doer and a thinker.  It is the Same with writing a book. Everyone wants to have written one, few folks want to write one.

build blocks goalsGet the Platform going, and you will be WAY ahead of others in terms of dialling into your market. It’s the understanding you are after. To get that, you give first. In addition to understanding, you receive trust, credibility, respect and a unique positioning in the marketplace. Oh… and it’s not too hard to transform those things to money. Build your Platform.  blocks are building goals to your end result, this is your choice but it works.  It is no different with any type of business even my (MLM) “Network Marketing” it is still a business and we target everyone and small SME’s but without the guidance we would fail, My guide to start is a network marketing book, this link will give you a start

Successful & Ambitious Networker Positive Attitudes work

Authenticity is a collectioin of choices

"Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change."           -Wayne Dyer

Positive attitudes is what make’s the world go round, there in that one sentence is an extremely powerful secret for life improvements on all levels… including the level of business.
As consultant Alan Weiss quoted:  "The first sale is always to yourself…"
If you cannot make that first sale, how are you going to make any others? But wait, before we even answer that question, riddle me this: What is this that we are even "selling" to ourselves?

A guide to Network Marketing be the best at what you do.

Well, what you’re selling to yourself is clarity about what you do, for whom you do it, and why your unique approach to that doing makes you far more valuable for certain clients.
You do this, you don’t do that. You work with these folks, you don’t work with these folks. You stand for X, you stand for Y and the unique way you achieve Z is something that sets you apart from every other choice your client has.
If you’re out there wondering what the next step is, that’s not a problem, itForget all the reasons why it won't work and believe the one reason that it will  ‘s more often a symptom of a problem, which is a lack of clarity.
When you have this type of clarity, these "next steps" tend to appear with much less effort.
You could say that along with this clarity should come a commitment. A commitment to the clarity you’ve defined. When you are committed, decisions become easier.

Act on your own initiative, but be prepared to assume full responsibility for your acts.
One of the primary differences between those who achieve greatness in their lives and those who manage only to “get by” is that successful people learned early in life that they were responsible for their own actions. No other person can make you successful or keep you from achieving your goals. Taking the initiative means assuming a leadership role, a position that singles you out for praise — and for criticism. The good leader is the one who shares the credit for success with others and assumes full responsibility for failures or temporary setbacks. When you accept responsibility for your actions, you gain the respect of others and are well on the way to creating your own future.                                    – Napoleon Hill

Do I buy this advert? Do I market over there? Do I work with this client? The greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are
These can all be difficult questions if you aren’t clear on what you’re about and for whom. With that clarity, these decisions can be made in a blink.
It’s all about clarity and direction. Do you have it? Do you know where it’s hiding for you?
For most service providers, it’s hiding right in front of your face. But due to your training, you just can’t see it.
But finding it is work worth doing. When you find that thing that sets you apart, the way you look at yourself CHANGES. And just like Wayne Dyer says, that act of changing the way you look at you actually CHANGES you. Something to think  about, do you not agree?   The funny thing is this: while we as individuals cannot always see this for ourselves; we always seem to be able to see this for others.  It takes time to think about it and agree with some honesty.

The best recommendation is the one you give yourself by rendering superior service — with the right mental attitude.
What others think of you is important, as long as it coincides with what you think of yourself. If you are recognized by others as a positive person who always makes an important contribution, you will be in demand, for there are never enough such people in any organization. Your co-workers will value you, your customers will appreciate you, and your boss will recognize and reward you if you stick with it. You may not become an overnight success, but neither will you fail instantly and permanently. Make it a habit to go the extra mile with a Positive Mental Attitude. – Napoleon Hill

I see network marketing as a way to help others with training to prevent issues above, do not take my word for it
