Be Inspired by Ian Fox Don’t Comfort Reform

What I find amazing is that when you go out of your way to give to another person, you will also receive great things in your life. This is what is called the Law of Giving and Receiving. You may not receive from the people you are helping, but  you will receive good things from other people and in other ways.” Sonia Ricotti

“You will find that the mere resolve not to be useless, and the honest desire to help other people, will, in the quickest and most delicate ways, improve yourself.” John Ruskin 1819-1900, Writer

Ian FoxIf I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

Don’t waste your life, your beauty, your infinite connection to all things, worrying, overworking and collecting “material things!”

Control your ego; temper your desires and let forgiveness, love and personal freedom be the beacon that guides you.

Awaken from the delusion of having to show off and prove yourself to others. The best house, car, clothes and latest gadget mean little, because they are not who you really are beyond thought and form. The things you want to own, invariably end up owning you. They become the “screws” of your life, nailing you to the floor, preventing you from spanning new pastures. You are more than what you own and not defined by what you owe.

Step off the mouse wheel by refraining from doing things you hate, decorating your life with ego fuelled crud and people who see you as a means to an end. You’re not a slave to someone else’s agenda. You’re a free spirit, not a worshipper to the daily rituals of modern society.

Step back and see the merry-go-round of illusions for what it is. There is nothing wrong in wanting better things in life. As long as you are not paying for them long after the shine has worn off and the ephemeral ego-fix has evaporated. Today’s treasure is tomorrow’s trash! Tame your mind with spiritual awareness, discipline and practice delayed gratification. Don’t conform, reform!

Be yourself and if others can’t accept that, then don’t allow their judgement to become your prison cell. Simplifying your life and becoming more spiritually aware is the answer. Money, glamour and objects are not gods to be adored and adorned. The weight of these things holds you down and corrupts your energy. Give stuff away, lighten your load and escape being shackled to the system. Create an unrestricted life for yourself and those dear to you. Less mess is less stress.

Live free by choosing what you want to do, not what you “have” to do. Most humans fall out of bed in the morning, only to re-connect with the mainframe of human slavery and egoic entrapment. You can only be free to the degree to which you are not trapped by physical, financial or mental obligation.

To avoid the human condition of perpetual disappointment, yearning, reaction, problem creation, fear and feelings of inadequacy, you must raise your consciousness beyond the realm of compulsive thinking and judging.

The truth is you need to raise your energy and consciousness, not to be more attractive and powerful or to make loads of money, but to open your heart and mind to a new found freedom and elevate your current existence.

You appreciate most people are trapped, held hostage by their egos and consume far more than they will ever need. They rush around from one drama and crisis to another, trying to make sense of it all! The more you let go, the more things seem to happen effortlessly and more natural flow you create in your life.

A few years from now an empty space will mark the spot where you once stood. All your things will be gone. If you want to live forever make a difference in the lives of others and change yourself today.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” John F. Kennedy

Invest in yourself

A positive mental attitude is an irresistible force that knows no such thing as an immovable body.
Time and again we hear stories about ordinary people who do seemingly impossible things when they find themselves in an emergency situation. They perform Herculean feats of strength and endurance, things they never dreamed they were capable of doing. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could harness that strength and make it available anytime you need it? You can — if you believe you can. No doubt you can remember a time in your life when you were exceptionally focused on your objective, a time when you achieved more in less time than ever before. Perhaps it was an impending vacation that motivated you to get everything done before you departed, or perhaps it was a “must pass” exam that helped you focus your concentration. The intensity that you developed in those situations is always available to you when you have a Positive Mental Attitude. – Napoleon Hill

Invest in YOU skills are more precious than Gold_thumb[2]

If you are interested in personal development it is important you commit to investing in yourself. No matter what it is you want to improve, no matter what you want to achieve, it will almost certainly require an investment or will be much better and be achieved much quicker with the right investment.

If this great man can do it so can you._thumb[10]Start by listing the areas of improvement to which you wish to commit. This can be in a very wide area, and I am not limiting myself at all to one particular niche. Have a look at my previous article about the Top Ten New Year Resolutions. All ten are perfectly acceptable self improvement goals, and you can probably add quite a few more to this list.

Take a look around and see what resources are out there which could help you make serious inroads on those improvements you desire. Examine them carefully. There are a lot of scams out there, but there are also a lot of diamonds if you look carefully enough. Try to find at least one for each of the areas on your list. Don’t worry at this stage about how much money they may cost. All that should concern you right now is whether you believe they will help you achieve your goals better or faster, or both.

Once you have come up with the list of investments you want to make in yourself and are reasonably comfortable that, at least for now, this is a fairly complete list, the next step is to work out how you will pay for them.

One problem many people have, though, is that after they have paid all their monthly bills there is no money left to invest in themselves.

What may surprise you, though, is that no matter how much you earn you will almost certainly still find there is no money left after paying the bills. How can this be?

Parkinson’s Second Law

The answer lies in Parkinson’s Second Law. You have probably heard his First Law – “work expands to fill the available time”. But perhaps you missed the Second Law – “expenditure rises to meet the available income”. Parkinson’s Second Law is often applied to bureaucracies and they way they can needlessly spend our money. But it is equally applicable to personal expenditure.

The corollary of Parkinson’s Second Law is that if you look carefully at your spending you will always find cuts you can make without impacting noticeably on your overall lifestyle.

Your first step should therefore be to examine your budget very carefully. Pretend you are a business which is not making profit. Step back and look at that business as if you were the finance director (or maybe the bank manager!). I think you will be surprised by some of the cuts you could make and still continue to enjoy life just as much.

Pay Yourself First

Once you have done this, regard yourself as your own primary creditor. You owe yourself a lot of money, so start paying it back.

Pay yourself first. Before you pay anyone else. Do not feel guilty about doing this. Every day of your adult life up to now you have paid everyone except yourself. Now it is your turn!

How much should you pay yourself? Well, that depends, of course. It depends on many factors. Not least of which is how much you managed to save off your budget – make sure at least half of this goes to you. Some coaches suggest it should be a minimum of 10% of your gross earnings. But again I stress this depends on your own circumstances and budget. Just don’t allow it to be whittled down to almost nothing!

Put it in savings and investments that you resolve not to touch except when investing in yourself.

Create a Second Income

Whether you work for someone else or have your own business you should consider ways of creating a second income. You can then reserve most of this new income to invest in yourself (well, the profit on it – as there will always be expenses).

One way you can do this is to set up an online marketing business. There are some major advantages of choosing this route rather than, for example, finding an additional part time job somewhere.

The first advantage is that you will be completely in control. You can invest as much or as little time as you like. As your business grows you may decide to give up your "day job" and spend all your working hours moving your internet business forward – but that is entirely up to you. There will be no boss looking over your shoulder telling you to speed things up or do things differently. Of course, you should also recognise this can be a disadvantage – you will need to have some good self-discipline to ensure you spend enough time doing the right things.

The second advantage is linked to the first. You do not have to work on specific days or at specific times. You can choose when to do this work. If you wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep you can sit at the computer and do something to move your online business forward.

The third advantage is that once you have set up your business properly it will begin to generate profits for you even if you do not put a lot of effort in to grow it. You will need to continue doing some work in order to maintain it, so I do not believe it is correct to call it "passive income", but it should certainly generate you high profits for not a great deal of work as long as you have built it correctly.

Be aware, though, that as with any other business an online marketing business will require you to invest time and effort. Do not be misled by claims you will often see that suggest this is a miracle "instant millionaire" formula. It is not! You can certainly become very wealthy if you choose to do so, but this will not happen over night.

You will also probably find there will be a few false starts before you get your own formula right. Ideally you should take advice from an internet marketing coach who has been there and done that and who can stop you needing to re-invent the wheel yourself. This will not be cheap, but it will save you making costly mistakes and ultimately ensure you reach your goal faster if you choose the right coach.

Invest in Yourself

From The Secret Daily Teachings                                                             The fastest way to become the Master of your thoughts and emotions is through challenging situations. If your life is going along fairly smoothly, there are not the same opportunities that enable you to strengthen your power and become the Master of your thoughts and emotions.  You see, even challenges are beautiful opportunities in disguise.                                  May the joy be with you,  Rhonda Byrne The Secret… bringing joy to billions

Once you have started this habit of paying yourself first, and have perhaps additionally created your second income, start to invest with this money. Not in company shares. Not in bricks and mortar. You are going to invest in something far more valuable than that. You are going to invest in yourself.

How to stay Motivated

"Set a goal to achieve something that is so big, so exhilarating that it excites you and scares you at the same time. It must be a goal that is so appealing, so much in line with your spiritual core, that you can’t get it out of your mind. If you do not get chills when you set a goal, your not setting big enough goals." Bob Proctor

These Top 10 ways to stay motivated are a must, but can you stick to them?

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it." Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

1)  Plan ahead                                                                                          It stands to reason that you are much more likely to reach your goals if you plan properly.   Preparation is a key to success, so clear your cupboard of tempting treats, re-writing your shopping list, or memorise your activity schedule.  Once you have an agenda, you are much more likely to stick to it.

"Set higher standards for your own performance than anyone around you, and it won’t matter whether you have a tough boss or an easy one. It won’t matter whether the competition is pushing you hard, because you’ll be competing with yourself." Rick Pitino Basketball Coach, Author and Speaker

2) Track your progress                                                                         Keep an eye on how well you are doing. If you have completed a week of abstinence, for example, your pride in that accomplishment can help keep you going for another week.  everything from checking money saved, by not buying “goodies” or a regular weigh-in if you are trying to lose weight  can give you the motivation to continue.

Don’t live down to expectations. Go out there and do something remarkable." Wendy Wasserstein

3) Find Inspiration                                                                               The internet is full of inspiring  articles written by people either on the same journey as you are, or who have achieved a similar goal, you just need to find them.  seek out online groups that share your goals and keep reading success stories, as they will keep you on track, if they can do it; You Can!

"People who say that life is not worthwhile are really saying that they themselves have no personal goals which are worthwhile… Get yourself a goal worth working for. Better still, get yourself a project… Always have something ahead of you to ‘look forward to’ – work for and hope for."     Maxwell Maltz 1899-1975, Physician and Writer

4) Reward yourself                                                                                  If you are trying to stop smoking, save the money you would have spent on cigarettes and buy yourself a treat at the end of the month.  you will find the money soon adds up.  If you are dieting allow yourself a cheat meal, that way you can give yourself something to look forward to every week and stop yourself feeling deprived.  If you are taking up a new activity or exercise, get the proper kit, if you look the part you will feel the part.

“Rewards are what you deserve for all the things you have done, will do and are grateful for, no matter what, the same can be said for the more you do for others is an even greater reward.”          Gray Lawrence

5) Post it                                                                                             Little reminders around the house will keep you on track..  It can be easy to forget your exercise schedule when you are stressed or busy, so write it on your calendar or create phone alert to remind you.  #if you are trying to eat healthy, stick a note on the fridge to remind you to stay away from the cheese!

Life Power Tip  What small step, toward that large goal, can you take today? Ninety per cent of any task is starting it. Ten minutes on a task begun soon turns into two hours on that same task. “The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” –Chinese proverb

     6) Get Support                                                                                                    Tell your close friends and family how thy can help you stay  on track, they want you to succeed.  joining a local group of like minded people will also bring support and perhaps even some great new  friends .  If you are on  a social media, post your intentions, there may be others n your friend group who have similar goals.

From The Secret Daily Teachings                                                                    When you find your purpose, it is like your heart has been set alight with passion. You know it absolutely, without any doubt. May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

7) Allow yourself to fail                                                                     To fail is to be human, well do it.  The most important thing to remember if, for example, you succumb to biscuits or have a cheeky glass of wine at dinner, is that tomorrow is a new day.  When you wake up give yourself a pep talk and start again.  You have not failed you have just wobbled!

Failure seems to be nature’s plan for preparing us for great responsibilities.
If everything we attempted in life was achieved with a minimum of effort and came out exactly as planned, how little we would learn — and how boring life would be! And how arrogant we would become if we succeeded at everything we attempted. Failure allows us to develop the essential quality of humility. It is not easy — when you are the person experiencing failure — to accept it philosophically, serene in the knowledge that this is one of life’s great learning experiences. But it is. Nature’s ways are not always easily understood, but they are repetitive and therefore predictable. You can be absolutely certain that when you feel you are being most unfairly tested, you are being prepared for great achievement.  Napoleon Hill

8)  Banish negative thoughts                                                                                   It’s important to believe in yourself if you are trying to break unwanted habits.  You will be surprised how much you can do when you put your mid to it.  think of times you have succeeded in other ways and visualise yourself reaching your goal.  You are stronger than you think.

Negativity
It is essential for you to encourage the positive emotions as dominating forces of your mind, and to discourage — and eliminate — negative emotions. – Napoleon Hill

9) Make lists                                                                                                           Break your goal down into small mile stones and take your eyes of the final prize.  If you are looking to meet new people, make a list of new places to go, and cross them off each week.  Enjoy the journey as much as the achievement.

“A list is only a list until what is written is with a purpose” – Gray Lawrence

10)  Keep it realistic                                                                                             Don’t overwhelm yourself with massive goals. If you are looking for a new partner don’t expect to be married by the end of the year, but focus on increasing your group of friends, you may meet someone special that way.  If you are starting new hobby, remember tat it will take a lot of practice before you are confident enough to really enjoy it. Be kind, don’t expect more of yourself than you would expect of someone you love!

Nothing really worth having is easy to get. The hard-fought battles, the goals won with sacrifice, are the ones that matter." —  Aisha Tyler

Happiness is a state of being, and comes from the inside of you. By the law of attraction you must become on the inside what you want on the outside. You are either choosing to be happy now, or you are making up excuses for not choosing to be happy. But there are no excuses for the law! May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne  Creator of The Secret  and The Power  From The Secret Daily Teachings

Look for the gifts in everything, especially when you are facing what appears to be a negative situation. Everything that we attract causes us to grow, which means that ultimately everything is for our own good. Adjusting to a new path and a new direction will require new qualities and strengths, and these qualities are always exactly what we need to acquire in order to accomplish the great things ahead in our life.   May the joy be with you, Rhonda Byrne

Stress, worry, and anxiety simply come from projecting your thoughts into the future and imagining something bad. This is focusing on what you don’t want! If you find that your mind is projecting into the future in a negative way, focus intensely on NOW. Keep bringing yourself back to the present.  Use all of your will, and focus your mind in this very moment, because in this moment of now there is utter peace.

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others..

Ancient Taoists discovered how to make bliss happen. And modern science validated the landing sites for chemicals that create bliss. Stress blocks bliss.

Like many, I’ve had significant stress. Growing up in an alcoholic family, I was sad most of my life … Then I had my dream life as a dancer and choreographer!

But at 24 years old, it was ripped away from me when I crashed through a windshield smashing my spine. When I woke up, I was paralyzed from the waist down.

With long years of effort, I’ve overcome those obstacles to enjoy glimmers of bliss. You can too by following this simple path. It empowers anyone to achieve blissful moments of union with the divine.

1. Eliminate Irritants: Irritants come in many forms: chemical, emotional, physical, sexual, environmental, mental, and spiritual. Irritants damage your health and well being. To achieve bliss, you must identify what’s irritating you and eliminate it. But sometimes you can’t. Sometimes you must accept what is and come to peace with its presence in your life to feel happiness.

2. Nourish Yourself: What’s nourishing to you may irritate another. Nourishment comes on many levels. Food, drink, art, beauty, and nature, are all forms of nourishment. The company that you keep can benefit you or drag you down. The way you feed your senses, your spirit, and your mind also adds to or subtracts from owning ecstasy.

3. Get Comfortable in Your Body: Growing up Catholic, I read about saints’ lives. Some suffered terrible pain yet still knew religious ecstasy. Not many can do that. To get comfortable in your body, you need to do more than get out of pain. Society is jammed with messages that you’re not OK. Getting comfortable in your body means feeling you’re OK however you are.

4. Use Your Natural Resources: You have three power plants in your body: your heart, your smile, and your sexuality. How do you feel when something makes you happy? Aren’t you charged up when you feel love? Throughout the ages religions try to control sexual expression because of its power. Yet systems of enlightenment use sexual power to grow the spiritual self. Use your natural resources to grow bliss.

5. Love, Admire, and Respect Yourself and Others: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you is the Golden Rule. But what about recognizing your success? You deserve admiration for all you’ve accomplished. Would you act the way you do if you treated yourself with respect? Give love, admiration, and respect to others … and also to yourself to expand into moments of bliss.

There is one power within you that is stronger than any other power. This power is the Supreme Power! When you use this power it will dissolve all chaos, it will wipe out all negativity, and it will cut through every single situation, unfailingly. Any situation of negativity in your life is simply the absence of this one almighty power. You can rely on it to obliterate every negative thing, because nothing can stand up against it. You can use it on yourself or anyone else, and the more you use it, the more powerful it becomes. You have an unlimited source of this power, which is the most magnetic substance in the entire Universe… This Supreme Power within you is Love. The Power of TRY

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

My message to the world comes down to one word: try.

Glenda Watson HyattIn my lifetime, I have seen too many people afraid to try; too scared to try new things, to try new places, to try meeting new people. Watching them place needless limitations on themselves meant, sadly, watching human potential go wasted. Great ideas, solutions and relationships were never realized or even attempted because they were too reluctant to try. They feared what others may think, they doubted their own abilities or they feared what may or may not happen.

Yet, trying can be liberating, empowering, and even exhilarating.

Trying leads to discoveries – discovering abilities and strengths that you didn’t know you had, discovering your own beliefs and values, and discovering what the big, amazing world is all about.

Trying builds confidence and belief in yourself, even when others may doubt you.

Trying means starting, somewhere, anywhere, and then proceeding one step at a time, no matter how small the step seems.

Trying takes determination and perseverance. When you stumble and possibly even fail, stand up, brush yourself off and try again.

Trying entails taking risks and doing something you haven’t done before. With an appropriate degree of forethought, planning or support in place, take that next step. Was it as risky as you were worried about?

Trying involves solving problems. When one way doesn’t work, try another way and even another. Keep trying until the problem is solved or until it no longer exists.

Trying means stepping out of your comfort zone. What you find out there can be so rewarding, so glorious and so awe-inspiring. You may wonder why you stayed trapped within the confines of your comfort zone for so long.

Go ahead…try…see how far you can go, how much you can accomplish, how much you can become.

From The Secret Daily Teachings

No person or power in the outside world can compare to the power you have within you. Seek the power within, as it knows the perfect way for you. May the joy be with you. Rhonda Byrne
